BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! Came here for the second time looking for work boots and they did the same exact thing to me. Walked right in with no greetings and just a blank stare. While i was looking around they weren’t even trying to help me at all, so i walked right out. Never again will come to this place to buy anything. I would absolutely give them no stars!

First time buying shoes from red wing due to my boyfriend getting a job that requires steel toe shoes. (I’m not familiar with how to buy these types of shoes) Walked in the store and there were 2 associates working, a man and a lady. There were about 3 men looking around for shoes when I walked in the store. I didn’t get a «welcome, hello…» NOTHING! Right off the back bad customer service! The associates looked right at me and turned their back. They probably was thinking a women coming into the store with a child, she don’t know what she’s doing so we won’t help her.(just my thoughts).
My boyfriend just so happened texted me a few pairs of shoes he was looking for. I stood by the register for about 10 minutes until someone came to help me! I asked if they had that particular shoe in stock, the man told me no. So I asked for the next shoe and he said yes… Pointing to where it was, not actually taking me to the shoe! So I walked over to where he pointed and looked for the one in the picture I had. I brought it over to the cashier and waited a while until someone came again to help me! The man finally went in the back to see if they had a size I needed, he came back and said the display is the last one. I asked questions about the shoe and he was very limited in his answers, like I was bothering him! So I stood in line and the man in front of me purchasing a shoe for the same company my bf works for was offered discounts without even asking for it. So when I went up to pay for this shoe, she didn’t even ask what company I was buying it for or offered any type of discount. So I asked, is there any discounts you guys offer? She hesitated and said only for military, union, etc. so I said my bf works for those places so she said well he has to come in with his ID. It was like she didn’t like her job and was just trying to get me out of there. Or I don’t know if she was treating me like that because I am a women! After purchasing the shoe for about $ 250, I didn’t get no thank you, have a good day! NOTHING!!! I walked out and not even a good bye. Really horrible service!
Over all I will not be coming back to this location, I will find another location to buy steel toe shoes from. These associates need classes on customer service! They need to learn how to treat people equally, whether your a women or man.

My first experience buying boots was probably the worst. Absolutely no customer service and help. Couldn’t answer my questions or make any suggestions. Looks like the workers hate their life or just find another job already because if you’re working with high end products, you might as well higher a professional that can actually help clueless customers. I hope my next visit is a better one. Huge disappointment…

EXECELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! our sales associate, john, was very friendly and was readily available to answer any questions we had. he was also willing to get sizes and helped us choose a shoe that would fit our work environment. I would recommend this shop to everyone if they’re looking for well-​made shoes and friendly staff. AWESOME experience!

My fiancé is in the construction industry and always goes through shoes quickly! I love their store very clean and family friendly. The sales person didn’t really help us and she was in the back when we walked in. We just looked around and helped ourselves last night until we found something we liked. The sales girl stayed on her phone behind the counter for a good 10 minutes. Another customer came in and she didn’t really help him either just got him the size that he needed when he needed it.
If your gonna spend $ 200+ on shoes I would think that your service would match that price as well right? All in all we just went in and bought some shoes, gave them our money and walked out.
4 stars is for their shoe quality! They are amazing on his feet and last longer than Walmart brands.

Fat guys acts like his girlfriend doesn’t give him sex! He told me to hurry up! If I spending over $ 200 on shoes I would like to take my time. If he would lose a little weight maybe she could see his little dick!

Great selection of shoes with an awesome staff to help you find the perfect pair. Prices are higher than your average footwear retailer, but with a name like Redwing to back up the product you’re surely paying for trusted quality and not just a brand name. It’s awesome that they carry products for females my size AND smaller; so excited to put my new petite work boots to good use!

Wanna give a shout out to john at the redwing shoes, customer service seemed very important to him. He was very professional and polite, very knowledgeable too. The store, though the selection is smaller than what I’m used to, had a very professional atmosphere and large selection for its size. The redwing boot company has been my favorite boot company since childhood, I love the craftsmanship and the quality is second to none. I’ve owned 3 pairs of redwings since I was 14, now I’m 23, these boots stand the test of time if you take care of them. (3 because I haven’t needed to buy more untill recently). Love these boots. Thanks guys.

The worst service that I’ve experienced I was the only person in the store and the service was terrible. Don’t know what happened to this place.
I’m not planning on recommending this place to anyone.

Great selection of work shoes for my electrician beau. They have this great device that measures your feet and sees where you put most pressure. Pretty nifty! It also measures how wide your feet and the determined size that would be the most appropriate fit– but you should still try others just in case another size is most comfortable for you. Good service. They give discounts based on where you work and you can find discounts on their website to bring in store. Clean and organized. Friendly staff.

This Red Wing Shoe store is an embarrassment to the Red Wing Shoe Company. I have purchased two pairs of Red Wing Shoes from this store on Oahu, both experiences were terrible. The customer service was horrible and they didn’t carry many shoes in stock. I was not able to try on any of the shoe styles I was interested in, and was told that the only way I could try on the shoe was if I ordered it. Why would you want to order a shoe if you aren’t allowed to try it on?
I have been to a Red Wing Shoe store in Orange County, California, and their customer service was top notch. I felt like the most important customer in the store. The staff was very informative and friendly. I immediate felt like this was the only shoe store I would every by my work boots from again.
This oahu store however is simply terrible. I tried and tried to stay loyal to this brand, but on my third attempt to by my work boots for the new year, they simply just failed miserably as usual.

I was searching for a pair of boots for hunting. When I couldn’t find any at the usual spots, I went here to check it out. They didn’t have what I wanted. But, the staff was super helpful and told me that they could order a few pairs from their Irish Setter line. Although I would have to do the Internet search for which model myself. They would have them brought in for me to try on. No cost to me, or obligation to buy. They had them in store in about 2 weeks. The staff sized my feet and then ordered the appropriate size and style. Once they arrived, I was able to try them on and choose which one I liked the best. All in all, a painless purchase. Shoe quality is top notch. I’ll definitely be back again.

So I’m lucky enough to have been gifted an incredible pair of boots from these wonderful folks and I’ve been more then enthused with how great they are. I’ve been in the store several times and Have always been helped to my satisfaction.
It’s now nearly 2 years later and I am still using them. They’ve been up Pillbox in Kailua, to Makapuu, Kokohead, all over Oahu, Kauai, Maui, Big Island, in my wedding, LAX, Houston International, Miami International, Colombia, Philly, New Jersey, New York City, White Plains, through dirt, sand, mud and snow. And, they are on my feet right now keeping me warm in these below freezing temperatures. Thank you John and Ellie and the whole Red Wing staff for allowing me to experience so much with such quality footwear. Snow is here in New York and I’m sure these will get me through another winter!

They definitely need better customer service. As a first time customer, I would never come back to this store. Although the guy knows everything about the shoes, he makes you feel like an idiot for asking questions. There was a girl in the store but she didn’t help, which was surprising since there were four customers in the store. I would attribute his shortness to the amount of customers, but no one was rushing him or being impatient. You would think when you are spending $ 200+ they would at least seem like your not bothering them.
Overall bad experience, if I like the boots and want to purchase a new pair I would seek out a new store or order online.

Been wearing redwing for about 6 yrs now. a quality shoe for sure, the boot lasts longer than the sole, and that’s a good thing. Prices have gone up some, but what hasn’t, couple hundred bucks for a quality pair of sh oes, you get what you pay for.
They have a 30 day guarantee. if after this period you are not satisfied you return the shoes with receipt.
The sales people are very helpful, I even used the foot computer to detrime my foot size, it was correct.
So i probably be back in a couple years for another pair of shoes.
I also tried other brands, but none can compare.

I love my three pairs of boots I’ve purchased over the last 6 years with Red Wing. All sales associates working there are wonderful and very informative. I have noticed that they do get quite busy, so it’s best to have a little patience for the sales guy helping 5 customers simultaneously. It also doesn’t hurt to treat the sales people with respect. I noticed a lot of their customers talk down/​use profane language (even when children are present!)/verbally harass/​yell at the sales team. I think many of the «bad» experiences people have there are probably a result of their own doing.
Their warranty is a God send — It’s a one year warranty against manufacturing defects ONLY, which is pretty reasonable if you ask me. I purchased a pair of USA-​made boots that had a problem with the sole separating. After showing them the boots, they replaced it without hesitation. Eleanor, the store manager, is very professional and accommodating to her customers.

I hate coming here…1. Because my boots cost around $ 200.00 2. Because the last two sales persons I had have some kind of attitude problem! You figure if I’m dropping over $ 200 for work boots they’d try and be a little more courteous and helpful! But nope… I get the Al Bundy treatment. If it wasn’t for the good quality boots and my union discount I’d take my money somewhere else!

So if you’re looking for steel toed shoes or other sturdy footwear, whether it be because you’re in the construction industry, airline industry, work for the D.O.D, or just because you’d like to inflict some mean damage when you drop kick someone, this is the place to go. They have a larger selection than probably anyone else on the island and tend to know which employers require this type of footwear. They even give special discounts for some employers. My brother-​in-​law is a general foreman (i think?) and always says you could be like many of his employees and buy the cheap shoes that wear down within months, or you can come here pay a lot, but have your shoes last the whole year.
My boyfriend picked up a pair of shoes from here and after wearing them for a few weeks, says that they are really comfortable and sturdy. Which is good since we paid well over $ 100 for it, not to mention that he is on his feet all day long.
It is located in Waimalu Plaza Shopping Center (don’t get it confused with Waimalu Shopping Center) between Safeway and City Mill. Parking here is much easier than it’s former location which is great.
They also are willing to put shoes on hold for you, and order you something if they don’t have your size. Very nice.
The only thing that I don’t really like here is the workers. I mean, they’re knowledgable and cordial, but I don’t feel very warm or welcomed in this store. One worker seemed a little distracted and pretty much forgot about us after giving us the shoes to try on, and the other was a plethora of knowledge mixed with a sort of pompous and condescending attitude. I sat there silently on my phone listening to them talk to other guests and thinking: if I was this lady, I would be a little pissed at how this guy is talking to her. He’s talking to her like she’s a moron. She’s just asking a question, it’s not like we’re all steel toe shoe experts here. Good grief. That kind of thing just perturbs me.
Overall, location is good, selection is good, product is good, and it’s pretty much one of your only choices in the matter, so if you need to, check them out :) Hopefully you’ll like their customer service more than I did.
