Third time here, love how they do my nails especially the way I want it. Most places I’ve been to, sometimes they just don’t understand you at all. There would be some type of language barrier.
Anyway, the reason for two stars would be the fact that I had my child with me and they don’t allow kids at the back where you get your nails done nor they do not allow them to sit up front too. How can a lady pamper herself if we don’t have anyone to watch our little ones especially single mothers. The best part is that I went on a day where they weren’t even busy at all, only 2 – 3 customers inside. They could at least have my child sit with me.

I have been coming here for the past few years — not a regular customer but every so often I want to pamper myself. Well, I have had pedicures/​manicures and have never had an issue. But as far as the waxing — My first experience was great, 2^nd not so great, still felt ok to come back to get a very unhappy waxing. Ordered a full leg and got half… what!!! really! not what I came there for. Well, it’s been a year since I had a wax and needed a full leg. Well, the girl used a different wax from anything they used before and it seemed to hurt more than normal. The worse part is she left so much wax on my skin afterwards, just dusted me with baby powder and a quick wipe down with baby wipes. When I got home and was ready to jump in the shower — I had also waxed my underarms and they were full of pink wax. After showering, I was so sticky and couldn’t get the wax off, I dusted myself with baby powder again and it shows where all the wax is… that was nuts. I was so upset, I finally got the wax off with a spray on moisturizer. I found several large patches of hair all over my legs. so for the past few days here I am plucking my hair. We are not talking about one here and there. I am actually too ashamed to show off my legs because the hair is so noticeable. I am very disappointed. At the point I feel now — I don’t think I would go back at this point.

This review is based solely on their wax bar.
I’ve gotten a wax done here once in the past. I scheduled an appt for a partial brazilian to be done, and that was the easy part. I walked in right on time and checked in. They told me to have a seat on the other side of the wall, which is where their wax and lash bar is located. I was waiting for whomever was doing my wax to come, and one of the workers on the lash bar side was just full on just lying down on one of the chairs, on her phone, talking super loud to her coworker. After sitting for about 5 mins, she sits up really fast and glares my way and ask what I needed to get done. I told her that I had an appt for a wax, so she then stands up and walks over to a computer that they have about 5 feet away from us, like it was such a hassle to do so.
I was then called in for my wax appt and did the whole shabang. I didn’t have a preference on what type of wax they used cause I usually handle all sorts of waxes pretty well. She did the whole works, and I didn’t like the way that she was ripping off the strips. She would S L O W L Y peel off the strip, which was painful then rip off the rest of it. Like gaaarl, can’t you just do the WHOLE strip at one time? The whole waxing experience was a little more painful than other places that I’ve been to.
It was fine up until I went home and before I took a shower, I checked down there and saw that she missed some patches. Like seriously? You took longer than other places AND you didn’t wax it good. Never again am I coming here. The only reason why I made an appt is cause the salon I would normally go to isn’t open on Sundays & Sunday was the only day I was available to have this done.

I’m new to the island so I picked this salon because I badly needed a mani/​pedi and this was within walking distance. The salon looks clean and professional and my technician was friendly. However, I paid almost 95 dollars for a gel manicure that peeled a week later, and a chipped pedicure. They also didn’t remove the skin around my toes and nails, which is why I get my nails done in the first place. The staff up front weren’t the nicest either. I do think the lash/​wax place connected is pretty nice. But I won’t be returning for nail services.

If I could I would give this place negative stars. I have seen people roll their strollers in while getting a freaking pedicure. Yet they wanted to leave my 6 year old son all by himself in the front. Wtf? I would NOT EVER RECOMMEND this place. No aloha. No business from me! *Edited* I understand policies. You don’t have to make me feel like an idiot. Strike 2! How dare you! I think you took my review and twisted it to make your business look good! I’m pissed off because of that idiot suggesting I leave my son all alone in the front. Promoting kidnappings, child endangerment, child trafficking! Do you watch the news? Lucky for you I am not money hungry! But don’t worry I am spreading the word and found out that your business is disappointing in so many ways. Your staff is rude and thinks they are above and beyond everyone else! Overpriced and disappointing! Talking crap about the customers in another language. Unprofessional.

After multiple issues with not being asked how short I like my nails, polish not being clean or covering the whole nail, chairs not working, watching them not use new items on each client or cleaning the bowls, and getting plantar warts one of my feet (which I have never in my life had) I do not think I will be returning. Too expensive for what you get.

Though it would take a finger falling off from gang green to cause me to change nail salons, I do prefer pedicures at places that have massage chairs and more luxurious options on their service menu. One Saturday, after taking a peek at my not so pretty feet, I decided to give this place a try while in the mall hunting for an ever elusive Too Faced product at Sephora.
Although an appointment is recommended, they had a nail tech available for a walk in and my tired tootsies were In for a treat. I selected the Pomegranate Berry pedicure which included a pomegranate and blueberry scrub treatment with a pomegranate crème wrap. The service lasted about an hour, and my feet felt literally like a million dollars afterwards.
The pedicure chairs are extremely comfortable and I enjoyed the massage feature. I loved the fact that their pedicure menu offers a wide variety of choices from basic to different scents, etc. The massage was delightful, and they got all the rough spots without breaking out any freaky looking tools, etc.
While the prices here are a bit higher than some other places due to the fact that they’re located in the mall, I definitely wouldn’t hesitate to pop in again if the mood struck.

I pretty much come here often and enjoy getting my pedicures here, but my last pedicure wasn’t done normally as before. I think I got a newbie worker who did my pedicure. Why do I think she’s a newbie? I didn’t recognize her from other visits and it seemed like she didn’t know how to do the usual Jelli Melli pedicure I picked so she asked another person (not in English) what she needed and then the other worker pointed to some things on a shelf for my pedicurist to grab. I’ve gotten Jelli Mellis every time I come here and this time the worker I had seemed to be just figuring it out based on what the other worker told her to get. When she took my feet out of the jelly, she didn’t wipe it off. So I had jelly drying on my legs while she tried to get my polish off my nails. Now normally the workers will soak the cotton with acetone and leave it on my toes to loosen the glitter from my nails, but this lady started to file the glitter off my nails. I stopped her and told her otherwise and she obliged at first, but then I think she got impatient with waiting for the glitter to loosen so she again took her filer to my nails and filed the glitter off. I was anxious that the rest of my pedicure would get worse, but the pedicure proceeded with nothing else out of the ordinary. While my toenails were drying another worker noticed that the sandals I wore would scrape against my toes and possibly ruin my new pedicure so she got a pair of disposable slippers and placed them on the stool in front of me to put on later. When my pedicurist came back she picked up my sandal to put it on my foot, but I stopped her and pointed to the disposable slippers that her coworker left. So you know what my pedicurist did? She dropped my sandal on the floor and it hit the floor with a loud «clack!». At first I thought, «Wow, this lady is so rude… but hilariously rude!» I laughed to myself then thought, «Damn, this newbie pedicurist has some nerve treating a customer’s property with such disregard,» but I totally didn’t get upset or make a complaint because I again assumed she’s new and probably needs more training so I should just cut her some slack. Even though my pedicurist did dash my expectations for my normal pedicure that day, I still would come back and hopefully next time I’ll have a more experienced pedicurist instead or maybe the same one will be better at her customer service.

I came to L’mour b/​c I was pressed for time & it was really close to my working place but my experience with them was HORRIBLE. I needed to get the gel polish on two nails fixed but they didn’t have the color to match my other nails, seeing as I previously got my nails done somewhere else. I decided to do a polish change on 6 nails which they charged me $ 30 for! 20mins after my scheduled appointment (it only took me about 5mins to choose a new color btw) they finally took me. The lady doing my nails seemed distracted & barely looked at my nails while working on them! I had a slight coffin shape previously which the lady paid no attention too as well as the length of my nails. 4 of the 6 nails she worked on were shorter than the others, square, & lumpy. The worst job I’ve ever had done, not to mention a total rip off. If you’re going to charge double the amount average salons charge for gel polish, AT LEAST do a good job! I will never come here again no matter how desperate I am.

I love coming to this place for my lashes the person who takes care of me day one is Ai awesome lady
Today I ⁴⁄₂₁ I have a appointment with Ai I called to confirm for my 10:00 am I was told it was at 12 noon I told the person I was talking to that I always take 10am as my appointment so whoever answered the phone stated just come in I have a 10am open.
I went to the shop exactly at 10 check in the lady in the front said Ai is not in I was really upset I drove all the way from town to get to my appt and was told Ai is not in
I should have been advise that when I called that Ai wont be in till 12 noon on top of that the lady was arguing with me
She insisted of me seeing another tech twice
You know if it’s not because of Ai who really take care of me I will just look for another place at least who respect the needs of their client
I can have it done on the nail spa I go so it’s one stop shop
But Ai gives good service and all my friends that I sent to her love her
James please take care of your front people this is how you loose your client .
I went to review all the reviews they get and all the complaints is about customer service especially the front desk
That’s a signal to the manager/​owner that they need to fixed that if they want their business to progress

I like their waxing but mani is very disappointing.
I went last Friday for a french tip mani gel polish for a wedding and vacation, two days later the polish on the sides started coming off and so as the tip. I was so busy with being with my ohana and i didn’t have time to take a pic. I was actually PISSED and sad because it was $ 48 and i tipped the lady for $ 6 then two days later they started coming off? I did gel polish at Ala Moana fast kind and i had them on for almost a month. I always give these guys second chances but it’s a waste of money!!! Not going there anymore ever again

My sister made appt for herself to get her eyebrows waxed here on 3÷14÷2016 as her junior prom is tomorrow. Usually I take her to her appointments here but unfortunately I was able to get off work and our mom is sick with the flu. Mind you she made the appt herself as she is a repeat customer. She is old enough to be able to drive herself to do these types of things. Anyway, they would not let her wax her eyebrows as they have a rule where you have to be 18 unless with an adult. I understand this rule completely but this is not the reason why I am upset.
As a repeat customer she signs the consent all the time if not every 2 weeks at least once a month. They create profiles there for repeat customers so that they may keep track of services received and employees they have seen. The lady I spoke to on the phone was extremely RUDE and not accept a verbal authorization for my sister to get her eyebrows done. There was no explanation other than «She’s not 18 she can go else where» that answer is unacceptable. She is old enough to obtain a drivers license but not old enough to get her eyebrows waxed. That just baffles me.
Your employees need an attitude check and need to learn how to address situations properly rather than being rude and treating repeat customers like they are ignorant.
I won’t be going back for a long time!

Let’s all leave smelling like we went to the tropics! This place has so much variety of mani and pedi scents. If you’re indecisive, there’s no way you be able to choose! They all sound so good!
I’ve been to the nails lmour In Ala Moana and they only had simple or deluxe spa pedicure. The variety keeps you coming back!
I got the Tutti Fruitti pedicure which is orange scents and it’s suppose to make your skin healthier. Not sure if it really works but hey the scrub always feels good!
I usually try to bring my own nail polish, (dark purple this time) in case I need to touch it up myself… it’s a color I own. you never know sometimes they don’t do so well and you don’t notice till you get home… or it isn’t fully dry and you smudged it. I’m a clutz, always happens to me! haha
The girl I had she is young and she was really precise when painting my toes. She made sure nothing smudged out. Very detailed. I thought she did a good job.
Although she disappeared after and didn’t help me out my sandals back on… that’s something I didn’t like

Called Thursday 4a Pedi w/​Candy & booked 4me & my Sister too.12noon we were there 2day. Ck’d in & got seated, by «Anna.» Then she started on my feet & someone started on my Sister’s feet. I was betwixted & ?‘d Anna where was Candy. She said she was scheduled 2 work, but, somex’s she doesn’t make her scheduled work times. Oh, Wow, they never told me that @ the front desk, if I was presented w/​that, I may not have gone ahead bc I’m not comfortable w/​just anyone doing my feet. But bc my Sister was there, I went ahead w/​it.: (
Anna proceeds & I asked for a manicure while enjoying probably the best part of the entire event, the massage chair, while having Sister conversation. Well, I feel my foot burning & look down, & Anna had caused my foot to burn & bleed, in an area that never had a callous.
I see Candy come in & she revealed 2me that she hasn’t done pedicures in over 3 months due 2 a back situation! WHAT? So why book a pedicure w/​her & never tell me, when I ck’d in???
We pay, tip & walk out & sit across from the salon waiting for our nails to dry. My Sister still sporting her pedi-​slippers provided. She begins to tell me how curt she felt the lady was, which I was noticing, as we were talking during our appointment. In fact Anna felt her feet & told her she’d probably need callous treatment for $ 5 extra. But the other lady never suggested or offered her that choice. Also, I asked why she never put a design on & she said the lady said, oh, u don’t want a design right? So, my Sister said no bc, she was kind of «cocky» with her responses to anything she had to answer. So, I got up, walked back in & told the lady @ the receptionist desk, my Sister doesn’t even want to come back to see this lady again. If she didn’t want 2b at work, then don’t come in.
Never on a Saturday again bc, parking is killer as we know anywhere, especially Pearl Ridge.
Got home & got a closer look at my manicure (after removing my near-​sighted contacts) & nail polish isn’t done to the cuticle & I can see the clear doesn’t even cover the polish & the cuticles weren’t done well, bc I had 2 redo.
Quality Customer Service lacking from my initial phone call. I’m sure with 2 receptionist there, they know who took my initial pedicure appointment. Had I known Candy didn’t do pedicures, I would’ve booked with T&T Nails in Kaneohe where I see Alex & feel comfortable at his Salon. The only reason I go to L’Amour is bc of Candy. Hadn’t seen her in a few years, best believe, sad to say, despite living extremely close to this Salon, I will head over H3 to Beautiful Kaneohe and patron T&T Nails!

Wow. It has been more than a year since the last time I have been in this salon. Yet I live up the st. I used too see Linda (nail artist) for everything If i need mani/​pedi even eyebrow wax. Then she left.
I was desperate of getting my eyebrows done so, I went back to get my eyebrows wax even though Linda is no longer works there. My appointment is at 3:45, I was there five minutes early. No one came to see me until 4:10. Then Ray came and start working, she apologized for being late, she said she got sent to the wrong person. I said «that’s ok». She started waxing my eyebrows and cleaned me up. She didn’t even trimmed my eyebrows… I was going to ask her if she was going to trim my eyebrows but when I looked in the mirror, she already messed up the shape of my eyebrows. so I just paid and left.

I definitely recommend Elise as your nail lady for acrylic nails! She took her time, shaped them perfectly, and polished beautifully!

I was referred to Aye she was very nice and she seam to have experience on lashes, but bad part is it looks good afterwards but she did not place the lashes right on it placed at the root of my lid and it’s horribly painful as I close my eyes. I had a headache all day and it was uncomfortable. I’ve been getting my lashes done for the past year and this is by far pricey for the work done and the lashes are Super stiff it hurts! I told her I wanted Mink and she didn’t listen. I’m really disappointed. I’m never going back there and I’m pretty much going back for them to rid these lashes! One more thing CUSTOMER SERVICE QUALITY SUCKS!!! I asked a few questions and the girl didn’t even gave me eye contact, she looked down the whole time and has no personality. All three didn’t even smile or greet the ladies in the front lobby.

Made a same day appointment for two pedicures, and the girl on the phone had to ask for my name 3x. It didn’t sound like she was paying attention.
Upon arriving, we were choosing our nail polish colors and the nail techs stood right behind us asking if we were ready yet. I felt rushed. Oh! I was also told that my 2 year old couldn’t sit on my lap. Uhh, WHY NOT?! This was odd. They even OFFERED to paint her toes, and I was charged a lousy $ 7 for it. Mind you, it took her 2 – 3 minutes to paint my daughter’s toes. This was offered to me. I didn’t think I’d be charged for it. Other nail salons have never charged me!
Anyway, getting into our chairs, we were provided some menus to look at. I opted for their ocean/​deep sea/​mint or whatever pedi, while my cousin just asked for a basic pedi. The tech seemed annoyed that she chose a basic pedi. Another tech also felt the need to comment on my daughters dry skin. RUDE! My nail technician didn’t wanna cut my nails down to the length I wanted it (whutttttt?!), the towels wrapped around my feet were scorching hot, and her pumice technique was so painful!
Not coming back to this salon again. Overpriced and under serviced. I was never asked if I was doing okay.

Lynn does my lashes and I absolutely LOVE them! She’s the best! I had my lashes done by someone else that wasn’t as gentle or professional which makes me appreciate the service I get from Lynn.
Totally recommend her!

I can’t rate based on the product. This rating is based on the receptionists.
They don’t have personality, are not knowledgable about their technicians, and are like rehearsed robots.
I talked to 2 different people and the same thing. I have a gift card for this place and thought I’d get my lashes done here. Explained what I’m looking for in a lash technician. The first person said she can’t recommend anyone because that would be «favoritism.» The second person said «well, they’re all, ugh, pretty good.» Not convincing AT ALL! Especially after reading reviews and seeing before and after pictures. Everyone has different styles and preferences.
When I call spas to make appointments and explain what I’m looking for in a masseuse, they immediately give a recommendation of a service provider. So what’s the difference here?
Who knows? Maybe all their lash technicians are the best ever. Not likely but hey maybe. I’ll never know though because of the huge shortfalls of the receptionists. I’d rather let the gift card go to waste and pay full price elsewhere then deal with them.
