Dr. Abrishami practices medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, while specializing in dermatopathology services. Dermatopathology is a sub-​specialty of dermatology and pathology. The two fields are truly inseparable and complementary to one another. Being a sharp clinician allows him to be an excellent pathologist. He prides in issuing diagnoses that are relevant and in language that is clear for patients and other clinicians. All biopsies are interpreted by Dr. Abrishami, allowing the vital integration of clinical and histopathological parts. It also lends to fast and cost effective care.

Dr. Abrishami is an expert in the diagnosis of skin, hair, and nail disorders, including skin cancers and melanoma, at any age. He performs skin surgery, photodynamic therapy, laser surgery, sclerotherapy, injection of toxins and fillers, chemical peels, and microneedling in our spacious newly built suite. Skin exams are thorough with emphasis on patient education.

We strive to offer same week appointments, short waits, and a friendly non-​pushy atmosphere. We accept PPO insurance plans. Pharmacy and labs are on-​site.

A ’boutique’ dermatopathology service offered to private practice colleagues who demand meticulous dermatopathology interpretations performed exclusively by Dr. Abrishami. Tissue is retrieved from offices by a courier daily, and processed in highly proficient laboratory. Full spectrum of ancillary studies including immunoperoxidase staining is offered. Email and telephone discussion of challenging cases, review of photographs, and second opinions are provided for clients as part of the service. Full billing services are available.

Dr. Abrishami is a dual board certified Dermatologist and Dermatopathologist. Few dermatologists are trained and board certified in dermatopathology. Even fewer are consultants for other dermatologists. Dr. Abrishami interprets cases for more than 40 other dermatologists and dermatopathologists nationwide and is an instructor at UCLA. He takes several courses each year to remain on the cutting edge of medical, surgical, cosmetic, and pathology advances.

Dr. Abrishami graduated from Cornell University Medical College. He completed his Dermatology Residency at the University of Minnesota, a Department that excels in advanced Dermatologic Surgery.

Dr. Abrishami has held annual medical board review courses for all California dermatology residents since 2006. He is well respected by his peers and has been invited to present courses for the past 5 consecutive years at the summer and winter American Academy of Dermatology conferences, where dermatologists from across the world attend.
