What a great place to live. The units are the largest I’ve seen in the area. The staff is so amazing, Nicholas especially is awesome. He’s super helpful and not pushy at all. If you are looking for a place in Agoura Hills or T.O. I cannot recommend Nicholas or Avalon Oak Creek enough.

We’ve been living here for about 4 years now. We didn’t really expect to be here this long, but it’s honestly hard to move after living in such a nice apartment with such great management! The apartments are beautiful and well maintained. They really do everything right here and by the book. Maintenance requests are handled within 24 hours. Great pool, great gym, and plenty of parking. We looked everywhere from Woodland Hills to Agoura, and this really is the best complex around. It isn’t the cheapest, but well worth it for a great place to call home while we’re renting!

Avalon oak creek has the best management and maintenance out of all the apartment complexes I have been in.
Management:
The manager Jason is very professional and made sure I was comfortable and taken care of. He is a super nice guy and will work with you if you have any questions or need help.
Maintenance team:
I have had great experiences with maintenance here. The head of maintenance Victor worked very hard to resolve all of my maintenance requests much faster than any complex I’ve been in. He was very nice and did a very professional job. The whole maintenance team is very great here.
Overall, everyone I have met that works at Avalon Oak Creek is very nice (Nick & Grant especially) and the staff does a great job keeping the apartments clean and very comfortable to live in. Also, the residents here are very friendly and everyone here seems very happy.
Definitely 5 stars!

Let me start by saying this is by far the best place to live in this area, perhaps in Southern California. The place is like a resort; amenities, amenities, amenities! My unit is awesome, great space, light, bright, modern and with lots of storage. All of that and excellent customer service. The best of the best, Nicholas Morrison and Grant Modlin; these guys will go beyond the call of duty to help resolve issues, or make this a better place to live. Nick and Grant have always been very professional, and kind in all our interactions. They are to be commended on knowledge, and skill, with great integrity to do what is best for you. It is so very rare to find anyone who cares about your experience and will follow up with sincerity, and fortitude. Oak Creek offers great value for the first class service and AMENITIES

I have yet to review any place of living, but my process here thus far with Avalon Oak Creek has been incredible. It motivated me to write a review.
I worked with an individual — Nicholas — in leasing and he bent over backwards to help me make things work for moving across the country. I was only in town for a couple of days and Nicholas made sure that every was done quickly and painlessly. He took me through all of the options and was able to give me in depth accounts for each type of their units and help me decide what made the most sense for my needs. While touring the property, we walked by 3 or 4 different residents, he immediately knew them by name and made sure to say hello. His attention to detail can be seen in the way the residents interacted with him.
As for the units themselves, I toured 4 or so different properties in the area in a short period of time and none could hold a candle to these. Inside and out, they are new and updated, clean and fresh. Walking paths that take you to a few of their amenities as well as parks and grocery. You can tell the grounds are well maintained as well. The pool was spotless, and their gym (which should be noted, is awesome) was clean and smelling fresh. Our move in is in the next few weeks so a follow-​up update will occur. But in terms of the initial experience, you couldn’t ask for better service and onboarding experience.
I am beyond excited to move in here.

I visited Avalon Oak Creek this week and had the pleasure of getting a tour with Grant. He is extremely knowledgable about everything there! Grant was informative & very detailed oriented, which was great. He has incredible patience and had me ending the tour loving the place. It is just a matter of which floorplan. Thank you Grant!

I have been living at this Avalon community for 2 leasing terms now and can’t stress enough how professional the leasing team (Kim, Nick, Jason & Grant) as well as the maintenace team are and how effective they are at addressing any challenges which arise. There is courtesy patrol which is available to the community once the Leasing office closes. The community is maintained very clean and grounds landscaped beautifully. There is ample guest parking. The pool area and gym are well maintained. During lease renewal time, the leasing staff is attentive and responsive. More recently, Grant has been extremely helpful! I have run into members of the leasing team on the property and can’t remember once when they have not waved to say hello. The leasing team is fair and very professional! My initial leasing team contacts where Kim and Nick and both are supurb! Initially, I remember being pleasantly surprised that they remembered not only my name but that of my child when I visited the property several times before signing the initial lease. At present, I continue to experience the same quality attention with Grant. You can expect high quality customer service even before you move in! Once you move in, the management is excellent at sending communications which update us on what is taking place or soon to be taking place at the community. For Halloween, the management team provided pumpkin crafts/​pumpkin carving/​costume contest for the children and pets/​game truck and food! We even received door hangers to indicate whether we’d be home or not for the trick or treaters. Very friendly and family oriented community! My child loves being walking distance to favorite places to eat. Packages can be delivered at the Leasing office and tenants get notifications of package arrival. Very safe community! Can’t say enough good things about it. You’ll have to experience it yourself!

Just signed a lease at Avalon and Grant in the sales office was incredibly thorough, kind, and supportive of any needs. I visited the property a couple months back with another leasing agent who is no longer there and never followed up… her loss. My husband and I are looking forward to moving in and writing another awesome review for this property! Clean units and great amenities! Can’t wait to lay under a cabana at the pool.

We have lived here since May 2015 and we absolutely love it! The entire staff is amazing and they go above and beyond to help with anything we ask. The grounds are beautifully kept up and the maintenance staff are amazing as well. The community is great and we always meet great people while walking around and at the pool. Grant was the one who asked me to rate them on Unilocal and I usually don’t like to but I feel they are deserving of a GREAT review.

First, there needs to be a review page dedicated solely to Grant in the leasing office. He was awesome. I started my search for an apartment prematurely and he is the only person out of all the complexes I looked at who didn’t completely pester me when I wasn’t ready to sign a lease. He followed up but never once made me feel pressured like the other apartment leasing offices did. That was a good sign.
And then when I was finally ready, my lease was signed and I was moved in the next day. Amazing!
I couldn’t be happier with my apartment and the leasing office and maintenance seriously goes above and beyond! The apartments are gorgeous inside and out and I feel like I’m on vacation! You seriously would never know that you are next to a freeway.
I’ve only had one issue since I’ve been here however it wasn’t an issue related to the complex itself or anything that the leasing office could have prevented HOWEVER despite that, I brought it to their attention and they STILL took action to help try to do what they could to prevent it in the future
THAT to me was the ultimate sign that I picked the right place to live and was seriously the best example of «customer service» I have seen. Despite the issue being completely unrelated to what they were doing, they still attempted to resolve it.
My family who lives in a 5 bedroom home have been spending more time at my place because we all love it so much! Haha!
Oh and I almost forgot the awesome pool and gym!

I love living here. Excellent maintenance, and great amenities. Make sure you ask for Nick in the property management office — he is the best! Always has a smile on his face and he is so helpful!

I love this place! I have become completely spoiled by living here and if I ever have to leave it would be hard place to beat!
I have been here for about a 1 ½ yrs. The location is prime, close to my favorite Trader Joe’s, The Habit and most importantly the freeway, among other places.
PARKING: The place has plenty of it! All the spots above ground are free for all, then you are assigned secured garage parking. You get 2 spots for a two bedroom and one for a one bedroom. Regardless I have never found an issue with finding a spot.
GYM: it is clean and located in the main office building, it can get crowded but is really never too bad. I would say the only downfall is when there is a trainer that is there because they tend to take up a lot of space.
POOL: Can definitely get crowded during the summer season, I do wish they have more than one and if they had a tennis court maybe? But the pool itself is always clean. I only have trouble sometimes with teens hanging out sometimes late at night, it can get a little loud (the curfew is about 10? I believe but we know that it is not something that can always be regulated). But honestly it is never a huge problem overall, the apartments are pretty well insulated.
MAINTENANCE: They are so quick with their maintenance issues! I have heard horror stories from other complexes around the area and by far this place beats them all! Within 24 hours (*unless they need a specific part) they always fix within the following day). We had issues with our microwave vent staying on and after fixing it once, the second time it happened they replaced it completely.
APARTMENT: Clean! Love the fact a two bedroom has the two rooms separated by the living room and kitchen. There is a laundry room in the apartment which I love! We have the 1200 sq. ft. apartment and it has plenty of space! The larger room has a smaller bathroom, but still quite spacious. LOVE my closet, walk-​in (both rooms are). The only downfall is the air conditioning that the larger room tends not to get as much air as the others, but I know that it because there are so many vents throughout the place. In addition, the smoke alarms work WELL! Maybe a little too well, in which it can make it hard to cook anything on the stove. We have to turn on the air conditioning, it helps.
I especially love the overall Customer Service and staff. The staff, specifically Jason Blue is the amazing! He very helpful and knows his stuff! We can always count on him. I also like the fact that the community keeps up informed of what is going on i.e.: holiday events the put on for the kids, we just had a red cross event, any security thing we need to know to keep us safe etc.
PRICE: it is a bit pricey, I know we couldn’t afford this without a roommate, even a one bedroom can be steep. However, it’s hard to put a price on such efficiency and safety.

This place rocks! Quiet, clean, comfy living with fantastic customer service. I called Grant in the front office late yesterday after the maintenance team left for the day — requesting a new air filter for the AC. It arrived at my door via a service tech at 8:30am today! Maintenance issues are always dealt with right away. Plus, Avalon maintains the apartments and grounds constantly, with upgrades ongoing. Great place to live. Great office and maintenance staff.

This place is amazing! A quite peaceful community located in Agoura Hills. These apartments are the best in the area and the staff is phenomenal. Grant was the one who helped me find which apartment was right for me. He is extremely kind and determined to make future tenants happy. If you are looking for clean, quite, and safe apartments Avalon Oak Creek is the place.

Great location! Some people may complain about the high rent, but I think it goes a long way towards keeping bothersome tenants away from the community. I wish the gym were bigger, but I’m otherwise very satisfied.
You won’t find a better community in the area.

I have lived at Avalon Oak Creek for almost a year since selling my home in Three springs. …and I love it here! The staff is professional, friendly, and efficient.
Recently, I needed to request service on my oven and my washer/​dryer. I emailed my request late in the evening and by 0800 the next morning, the service technicians were at my door. (There are three or four full time maintenance guys that are fantastic! –They are reliable, knowledgable, and best of all– they are really nice).
They were able to fix my my dryer and found the oven thermometer to be off my 30 degrees. According to the manufacturer, 30 degrees (+/​-​) is considered «normal.» However, because I was not happy (everything burned!), Avalon delivered and installed a brand new self-​cleaning oven the very next day.
And this week– I was impressed again… the pole lights along my apartments steps were not working due to some construction going on. I live in the back against the mountains and it was pouring rain. It was late and it was so very dark without lights.
Again, I emailed Avalon a service request letting them know that the buildings lights were out and it is not safe.
They called me to let me know that an electrician was coming out to look at it. They also followed up with me to let me know when the lights would be back on.
Tonight I came home and not only were the original pole lights back on, but they installed three motion detector spot lights that go on as We walk up/​down the steps.
Running my own business for 26 years, I have learned to recognize and appreciate great customer service. Here at Avalon Oak Creek, the staff has exceeded my expectations. Thank you very much! My son and I, and our dog, appreciate you making this community a nice place to live!

I have to give Avalon an upgrade. The leasing office read my review and actually sent me a note to ask what they could do to work things out with me. I have not done that yet, but I intend to do so as soon as I get a chance. The note was a pleasant surprise. Seriously… I was VERY surprised.

Some background on myself. I have had experience with two private landlords and one rental company. Avalon Oak Creek is the second company run apartment community I have signed a lease with in the past 5 years of apartment living. By far and away, the Avalon Oak Creek staff and community on the whole, do not merely meet expectations, but go above AND beyond what is required as a competent leasing agent, or community customer service representative.
I have worked with Nick and Kim in the office over the last year. Both have been patient with me. I’m a little bit of a information weird-​o and require a little bit of hand holding when it comes to signing new leases because my past experiences have been undesirable.
I read and re-​read the lease. In response to Ken M.‘s comments, EVERYTHING is in the lease. There are no hidden fees. You have At your LEISURE to read and sign. Leases are a time based agreement. ANY time you break a lease, there are fees. That’s the industry, and that’s how business is done.
Now, about the community benefits. I love that there is a pool. Open year round. And a jacuzzi. Every time my friends come over, they remark how much this is like resort living. And it is. None of the properties (not even the Calabasas Avalon property) can compete with the quiet, composed, and well manicured lawns, bushes, paths, and buildings that we have.
Maintenance is a breeze (so long as you know how to use a computer). PS. Don’t have a computer? Use the ones they have in the business center everyday of the week! There’s WiFi in the Gym so that pandora playlist you like to stream while you work out? No longer a problem if you got to manage your cellular data.
I’m really glad to be a part of this community. Yes, the price can be deterring, but the service, quality of living in this apartment community is a bargain in comparison.

I stayed at Avalon for four months, Due to a relocation i had to move out and break my lease. While it appeared to have been a smooth transition as I was told the unit was leased again I was charged a number of fees that while they insist were in the lease agreement, were never explained when I sat down and discussed the options. The unit and area is fine, the customer care center however was always problematic: they sent emails claiming payments were unprocessed but then later said they were, the payment center site was often down. Be careful what you agree to, they will squeeze every penny they can and be highly uncooperative when you ask for assistance.
