The Garden Restaurant is an indian cuisine-​specialized in vegetarian, gluten free, vegan, non-​vegetarian and halal food. However we tried to accommodate everyone for a taste and become familiar of different varieties and types and styles of indian dish. From North Indian, South Indian, and some crazy addition dishes in India called Hakka. In addition, a new member of this dish is called Indo-​Chinese.

Buffets seem to be the way to go at Indian restaurants. I am not a huge fan of buffets but they do allow one to sample the wares and most everything I tasted I enjoyed. Being the only two people in the place for a Thursday lunch, the food wasn’t super hot but at least warm.

Oh man! This is a great restaurant! Great Indian cuisine, fast service, very concerned about customer satisfaction!!! We got there on a Friday afternoon, about 5 pm. We were the first customers at the tables. They do lots of take out. By the time we left the place was full of customers, so I suggest an early start. The food is very tasty, aromatic and plenty of it.
My wife tried fish and I tried goat along with somosas and other delights. Nice price too.
I highly recommend it. Can’t wait to go back!!!

Perfect after a day at Six Flags. We were really hungry and were so glad there was a buffet waiting. The food was delicious and perfectly spiced. The service was excellent and the naan was some of the best I’ve had. Bravo for this find!

Went here for dinner after six flags. Best chicken tikka I’ve ever had. The garlic naan was crispy and tasty. Everything else was really good as well. Service was fast and friendly. Wish this place was closer to where I lived!

We had a great experience tonight. I am familiar with South Indian (vegetarian) dishes but had a chance to try some chicken and lamb, including tandoori chicken tikka and kabob. The korma was also very tasty. For some in our group it was a first experience in an Indian restaurant, and the owners were very helpful in answering questions and making recommendations. The vegetarian samosas were also really good, and the atmosphere is quiet and unhurried. If we lived in the area, we would be regulars.

I’ve tried them several times before giving up. Nice people; always gave me a free app; but horrible food unless you like your palak paneer to be pureed and have the consistency of baby food; expect your chopped up pieces of dark meat chicken in your Korma, and like mostly potatoes to accent the couple pieces of lamb in your Vindaloo…

My husband and I go out for Indian food regularly. This place is definitely sub-​par. Our experience is that if a restaurant is near Six Flags, that the food is going to be bad! We live in CT, but happened to be up by MA and searched for Indian food. The buffet is bland. It’s not a matter of it needing to be spicy, it just wasn’t flavorful. The food didn’t seem fresh. The tandoori chicken should have been cooked more and it wasn’t flavorful. The desserts were not tasty. The rice dessert dish had no flavor and the Gulab (fried sweet balls) were WAY too dense. They aren’t meant to be so hard and thick. This is very much toned down «fast» Indian food. Also, when we sat down, we were asked if we wanted buffet. We were not offered to order a drink. Another pet peeve is that you have to lift each lid off of the buffet trays. I never feel it’s sanitary to grab these lids because not only does everyone touch them, but in order to hold your plate and then the spoon, you have to set the lid down on top of another buffet container/lid…so now the inside (clean) lid is touching the outside (dirty) lid that everyone touches. It’s like having other people’s hands in your food. We will seek out other dining options when in the area.

Had the lunch buffet which was varied and flavorful. Requirements of a good buffet… chicken tikka masala and either pakora or samosa I appreciate the fresh naan and chicken tandoori that were brought to the table. There is nothing worse than soggy naan, since that is like half of the indian food experience. There were only two tables so the server was a bit of a loomer but that’s ok. I would definitely come back and try the a la carte menu, as usually that is even better than the buffet.

here for buffet on a weekend — we got there with maybe 40 mins of buffet time remaining.
buffet had a lot of vegetarian options, some were empty containers so i was hoping they would refill them. no new food was brought out while we were here. palak paneer had no paneer. overall food was ok but probably would not come back for the buffet. spice level was pretty low.
maybe this place is better in the summer when six flags is open?

I guess I’ve been spoiled living in NYC and Los Angeles as the amount of tasty ethnic food is endless.
I’d been craving Indian here in Western MA and read good reviews.
If it weren’t for the veggie samosa’s, I would’ve smashed a hole in the wall. The Chicken Vindaloo was flavorless and the raita had a grainy consistancy.
It was my mom’s first time eating Indian and I’m so dissapointed that this was the taste left in her mouth.

Ordered delivery from The Garden one night when my other go-​to Indian spots weren’t open. Receiving the bag of food was kind of like getting socks as a birthday present. You know you’ll use them. But there’s just no joy. I mean, I really wanted Indian food, and they did the job, but it was just a smidge off what I really wanted.
I’m used to Keema Samosas, which are made with meat, so right off the bat the veggie Samosas just weren’t the same. And the Chicken Tikka Masala, while definitely orange in color, just lacked that little «umph» when it came to flavor and the blend of sauciness & creaminess. It also felt a little on the smallish side. While the Naan, as several others have said in their reviews, just seemed kinda like a piece of average flat bread.
I realize that they heavily favor vegetarian dishes at The Garden, which is sure to please the vegetarians and vegans, but what they gain in veg-​friendliness they seem to lose in flair, which the other local Indian eateries do manage to bring to the game most of the time.
Don’t get me wrong. The food wasn’t bad. And I don’t have any serious complaints to lodge. I’ve just had better. They’ll definitely do, as they did for me, in a pinch*.
*Remember, it’s not nice to pinch.

Just across the street from Six Flags you’ll find this very good Indian restaurant where I tried their $ 9 buffet lunch today.
I started with the vegetable pakoras, they were crisp on the outside, tender on the inside without a trace of grease. They were really good and carried a teense of a spicy kick which was a real nice touch.
The buffet items were piping hot and everything I tried was good — chicken curry, chicken tikka masala, and all the dishes with chick peas, spinach, potatoes, and lentils. I noticed the owner hovering over the steam tables, checking on the inventory and giving everything a nice stir to keep things in good shape.
I have no complaints, the food was very good, the selection was wide, pricing was about what you expect at similar places, and the service was attentive.

This is the second time I’ve been to The Garden and both experiences were similar. We were seated in an empty dining room, both times. How do they stay in business?
We ordered chicken curry, chicken tikka masala, and garlic naan. We were first presented with a flat bread chip thing and three sauces. One was mint with something, another loaded with sugar, and a third that was onions in some kind of red sauce. The mint and the onion sauce were fantastic; I didn’t care for the sugar one.
Our food came quickly. The garlic naan was seasoned deliciously but the naan itself was basically pita bread. The chicken curry was requested mild and it came as such. My chicken tikka masala was requested medium to hot and came mild. That’s a shame. The portions were smaller than other Indian restaurants but the prices weren’t terrible. The quality was average, not great, not terrible. I miss India Oven in West Hartford, CT. That was the best Indian food I’ve ever had. They closed a few years ago.
Once the food was brought to the table, both times, it was a chore to get a refill or anything else. When we were done and ready for the check, it took more than fifteen minutes to do that. What’s odd about that is when they are attending to you, the service is great. They just seem to forget about you after you’ve been served. With only three customers, I don’t understand how that happens.

After a full day at Six Flags, we were soaking wet from the storm and hungry! We were warmly greeted with a laugh at our wet clothes and they thoughtfully offered to turn the air conditioning down for us. The food was amazing. Some of the best Indian food we’ve had. The garlic naan was particularly great. We had the goat curry and chicken tikka masala. We caught them right before closing and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. Excellent service. We will definitely go to Six Flags next time we eat here ;) !

Still searching for a «GOOD» Indian restaurant in Western MA.
Hubs and I went here based on reviews and decided to forgo our Mexican dinner for Indian. We get there oddly at the same time 2 other couples came in. All seat right next to eachother. What was annoying was the woman on the phone a table away who sounded like she was right next to us. Yes, please take your phone call outside. I had actually made my husband finish his before we went in.
Since we were the only patrons in there, you would think that service would be prompt but it wasn’t.
Our food came out and it was nothing impressive. The meal was warm but not hot like it was freshly made. The rice tasted old and was not very good. The naan bread was like eating pita bread.
Perhaps coming from Boston, I am a bit spoiled by good Indian places. Although the prices were pretty reasonable, we told ourselves to never come again.

After leaving 6 flags we stopped for a quick curry around 5pm … The place was empty and the décor rather shabby, started having 2nd thoughts lol !
My son ordered his usual mango lassy and chicken tikka masala and I ordered eggplant Bartha and a chicken biriyani
The food was super delicious and I will be back next time at 6 flags

Update: The food and the quality of it has changed little. However, on a recent order, we have discovered to our chagrin that while the prices have remained the same, the amount of food has gone down considerably.
I previously gave The Garden a moderate recommendation. With the price point stable and the portions cutting nearly in half, I’m no longer a customer. It’s just not worth it with other options in the area.

Lamb Marsala was awesome and I am glad we left the park to come here and eat.
The service was great and the owner was kind enough to offer us an app as we waited and it was super. Moist delic and something I wouldn’t have ordered but will now.
Mr G was looking for spice and I was not. I really enjoyed my lamb and naan. Mr G’s order had good spices but was not too hot.
I am looking forward to coming back and also hope to try the lunch buffet. Way better than anything in the park.
