Adel Citgo

My poor review for the Adel Citgo (the mini mart /​gas station, not the truck stop) is SOLELY because of the owner’s attitude.
My husband and I filled up our car with gas while traveling through the area, then used the facilities. I suggested we also buy about $ 4 worth of snacks (as a courtesy for having used the facilities), and waited for my husband to come out of the restroom to pay for them (he had our travel cash). The woman in line in front of us was buying lotto tickets. When she left, the owner behind the register said to my husband, «She’s broke, ha ha ha ha!» My husband, «The lady buying lotto?» The owner, «No! Your wife! Ha hahaha! She have no money! She make you pay! Usually American men broke cause wife gets whole paycheck, ha ha ha!» We were so bewildered and shocked we didn’t know what to say!
I happen to be a successful business owner myself and this man had no knowledge of our finances or history or anything!
We were mad that we spent ANY $ at his Citgo & will never go there again.
