The place is opened to the non-club members only on weekdays. After seeing the review me n my friend went there on Friday afternoon. It was just us and a party of 6 for whom the food was already served and we thought that we may finish our lunch by 30 mins. The menu was limited. But they had soup and salad buffet. The waitress attended us coughing. While she served water, she was literally coughing in glass. We ordered some chicken and pasta and then started with soup n salad from buffet. We didn’t get our ordered food for next 30 mins, nobody bothered to attend us n as I said earlier the place was not crowded either. So nearly after 30 mins we got our food with special ingredient«cough». The pasta was very cold and chicken was warm. My friend asked me not to eat, he called the coughing waitress and complained about the cold food. The best part was her reply, «Do you want me to heat it in the microwave?». We were dumb struck, we didn’t expect that question from her. Then my friend replied that if that was the case he need not come to a restaurant, he could have had food at home. Then she asked us what were we expecting her to do. For that we replied«check please». I am not sure if the waitress was rude or she has some mental issues coz no body coughs in the food. I can’t complain about the food as we didn’t eat anything… My review is all about the service.

I eat here every week and sometimes twice a week. You do not have to be a member to eat here. Lunch is served Wednesday and Friday as well as evening meal on Wednesday and Friday. Friday is the traditional Cena meal, a prix fixe menu of what the chef decided to cook. Wednesday night is Pizza Pasta night. Also get on their email list look for special events such as live opera and various festivals. Just about everything is made from scratch here and it’s great food. There is a decent wine selection by the glass or bottle. Very friendly staff and very friendly diners.

Our group of about 60 attendees met at the Italian Club of Dallas tonight. For most of us, it was our first visit. The waitstaff was incredibly helpful, courteous and attentive. The food was delicious and the drinks were reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere, very friendly people and great, AUTHENTIC Italian food. Can’t wait to try their lunch and dinner menus. I’ll definitely be back.

The Italian Club of Dallas is in Addison and it’s kind of tucked away. First, the restaurant opens at 11:30am, not 11am like the Unilocal listing said. We had to wait for half an hour to actually be served, but the waitress tried putting out the salad bar as quickly as she could for us. The waitress was a bit addle brained and took nearly half an hour to finally take our entrée order with another 30 minute wait to actually get our food. Other than the extraordinarily slow service, the place is nice. It definitely has an Italian bistro feel and having most of the other patrons appear to be Italian was fun and added to the ambience. I ordered a pasta dish and was rather disappointed in the portion size. I had the lobster ravioli and there were maybe less than a dozen ravioli on my plate. They were good, just I kind of expected a bit more of a helping and left the restaurant hungry. If you’re wanting authentic ambience go here. If you actually want food, I’m sure there are better.

When in the area visiting other restos, my curiosity was piqued by the sign ITALIANCLUB. Was this a private club just for Italians? Who was welcome to pass through those doors? I noticed an Open House event and took the opportunity to check them out. It is a private club, but ALL who enjoy Italian culture are welcome(Me! Me! Me!). Club members I met provided a warm and gracious welcome. They host a weekly Fri night cena(dinner); 4-courses of a traditional Italian meal including wines paired with each course for $ 28 non-members /$ 20 members. See my photos for a sample menu. Call in your reservations by Wed. My review is 4 stars based on the antipasti plate I enjoyed; the stuffed fresh figs are cravable! They also served a nice bread pudding –my absolute favorite dessert– it wasn’t too firm and had a drizzle of carmel. A little cream sauce would have been perfect, as is it still had me thinking of going for a 2nd; but I restrained myself ;-) I might take my review to 5 stars after I have a taste of the cena. I plan to go later this month for that! They are also well set-up to host corporate meetings; large drop down screen with ceiling mounted projector and I think a sound system is also available. Separate bar area. I saw mention in another review of ‘dated’ décor; not so in my opinion. The décor is in keeping with an elegant private club atmosphere for a mature clientele.

Wow, went here on a Wednesday night, and I was quite impressed. I got spaghetti with mussels and the sauce was authentic, so the meal was good. The people were nice and were having some kind of weekly meeting also, but I’m from out of town so I declined the invitation.

Can’t afford a trip to Italy quite yet? No worries! The Italian Club of Dallas is waiting to transport you to the warmth, mesmerizing, tasty Italian culture. And best part? No packing or passport required… Though you may want to wear your stretchy pants. We went for Vday dinner… And were greeted like relatives coming home for another Friday night family supper. Let me take you coat, have some proseco. Unless you request it, you are assigned to sit with 4 – 8 other guests. Take advantage of this! I met the most amazing people who I would have never met otherwise! Dinner consists of 4 – 5 courses and, another best part, wine pairings! They do accommodate for vegetarians but with so much going on, make sure to remind your server a few times :). Each course is presented and a story told. Having gone to Italy, this is probably some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had in Dallas. I had a caprese salad, a stuffed manicotti, eggplant parm and amazing Italian wedding cookies with some amazing cream. Between the food, the warm welcome, I felt like an honorary Italian. If you are looking for an amazing experience, this will fit the bill and satisfy your appetite. Buon appetito!

Service was great, mushroom soup and salad as well. That’s were it ends, we ordered two specials(salmon stuffed with crab) the cod dish and pasta with meatballs. The pasta and the broccoli on the side of the dishes were cold, salmon was just ok, cod was bland, meatballs and sauce were good. I imagine it was cold because the meals were prepared and ready for us back in the kitchen while we were still eating our soup and salad. I wish they would of kept it warm, however it is they do that. It was only our part of four in the restaurant for lunch. The restaurant looks very clean and nice, and again, the server was very nice and attentive. I would come back for the soup and salad deal if in the area. I wouldn’t drive out of the way for it though.

Sigh. I was dying to come here and finally did but… I guess I came«too late» for the whole«4 course $ 14 lunch» because they stopped doing it two months ago(that’s what the lady told me) The place is dated and definitely needs a face lift, but onto the food. I was for some reason wanted a Italian sausage panini and it was okay. It was put together pretty sloppily and in my opinion not enough sausage. Geoff’s ravioli is better than mine but not great. 3 stars for the price and I guess value because we had that and he had a glass of wine and total was $ 20.00 oh forgot, the tomato soup was seriously delicious. Sorry, won’t be coming back…

I went out of the way to visit for lunch and really wish I didn’t. It’s by no means horrible, just not worth a special trip. The reviewers here had a much different experience than me. It was so different that I had to sign in and actually say something. The salad is not salad, it’s just lettuce. The bread is ok — nothing special. The soup was watered down. Again, not horrible, just wasn’t special at all. The I ordered the shell pasta with Jimmy’s sausage. The sausage was fine, but the pasta lacked all seasoning and the sauce was again watered down and flavorless. The chicken parm had way too much breading and was nothing to write home about. I was really excited to try this place, and was really disappointed — especially in light of some of these reviews. Hope you have a better experience than me!

I have heard of this place for quite some time and we finally decided to book our Friday night Cena for the third Friday of the month… the Guest Cena(aka member pricing for everyone — bonus!). Over 130 people were in attendance and Opera on Tap was performing, which was a really nice touch to a great Italian 4 course dinner for the low price of $ 20/person. We enjoyed the tasty mushroom soup, penne pomodoro, eggplant parmigiana, and tiramisu… all quite tasty! We were seated with two other couples, both of which were former Presidents of the Club, so they were extremely welcoming and made for a great evening!

Magnifico! The five course meal for the cena(dinner) was lovely. The meal we had consisted of all freshly made broccoli soup, salad, ravioli in a delicious pomodoro sauce, salmon with potato in cream sauce and German Chocolate cake. There’s also a large selection of vino. Full wait service. Reservations are a must. The background music would have been nicer had it been classical Italian instead of 80s sounding Euro-pop. Other than it was fab! Thanks guys!

What a great experience! We went for lunch and let me tell ya, Delicious! The salad bar is modest, but has everything you need. The tomato’s were marinading in an Italian dressing and tasted wonderful. The bread they had out was getting a little old, but was still pretty good. Crispy and crunchy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. I skipped the soup however, because I’m not much of a seafood person. Although I hear it was pretty good. For the pasta entrée I had gnocchi in a sweet lemon cream sauce topped with thinly sliced ham. It was a flavor combination I’d never had before but was very complimentary. For the main entrée I had steak with vegetables. It disappoints me that I can’t remember the Italian name for this dish. But it made me want to exclaim to the world in beautiful Italian phrases. The meat was slightly charred on the outside. But one slice into these perfectly sized medallions of juicy goodness and you’ll find some of the most tender and well cooked steak around. By no means would I say its the best steak I’ve ever had. But its not too far from the ballpark. I’ve paid $ 35+ for steaks not nearly as good. By far and away the best steak I’ve had under $ 25. During our meal they brought us bread straight out of the oven. It was amazing! I’d say it was every bit as good as the bread from Lucia. Maybe better. I also had an opportunity to try the beef lasagna at the end of my meal. With only a small portion left on the plate it was STILL piping hot. Lots of ricotta cheese and subtle flavors that teamed up to make a very pleasant plate. With our lunch having gone so well, we sprung for some orange cake and cannoli. The cannoli was very good, but the orange cake was STELLAR. So good, I bought a slice to take home for the gf. This was easily a meal worth double what it cost me $ 14. The people are terrific, although they were a little short staffed and my glass went dry a few times they took very good care of us. I’ll be going back! :)

WOW! That’s all I can say — friend of mine informed of this place and went during my lunch time. It’s located North Dallas near Goody Goody Liquor store. ***** VERY High quality food and service ***** We were greeted with warm welcome from the General Manager even though it was 10mins before closing — they welcomed us in. We did not know what to expect as this was our first time to visit, the waiter was very nice and explained how their menu was and asked us questions to find out which entrée will suit us better. Their salad bar is good, but the chicken noodle with rice soup was amazing, very warm, chicken was tender and moist — overall the soup was excellent. I had pasta with sea food, WOW I was amazed how they didn’t «cheat» out the ingredients and gave us plentiful of sea food. The GM even came around talked to us when we asked questions, and answered without being rude. The pasta had loathsome of scallops, extra muscles(I told him I like muscles), calamari, and shrimps! My final entrée was chicken with side of asparagus — wow it was amazing how the chicken was battered perfect and cooked very well — the chicken was moist, and was not though to eat. Asparagus was pan cooked with olive oil and was perfect; very crunchy, and loads of flavor with the sauce. The waiter was great, he asked how everything as, refilled our drinks. We also got complimentary espresso and cannoli — the cannoli wasn’t too over sized or too small, just enough for two bites — it was perfect. The espresso was strong and you can taste the entire coffee flavor with it. We had good conversation with the GM regarding food, the restaurant, what the restaurant does for the community — they have cooking classes, Italian language classes and much more. I was completely satisfied that even though they were about to close they let us in with warm welcome with a smile — when they found out it was our first visit — the waiter and GM was on top of ever tying by answering all the questions and explaining different dishes and how their menu worked. I am defiantly coming back again and letting my friends, family and coworkers know about this place. On the side note, make sure you know the hours of this place 11−2pm Monday — Friday, and dinner is only served Wednesday and Friday — we didn’t ask about the hours This isn’t your average Italian restaurant or the Olive Garden — if you think Olive Garden is Italian I highly recommend trying this place … you will be blown away — I guarantee it!

Once upon a time, in the depths of the Dallas suburbs, existed a place of casual dining with extraordinary Italian fare at a capped price. Where is this place you wonder and how is four course lunch capped at $ 14? What if I told you its because it is a club of members that essentially cover all operational costs, because they love dining there so much they pay a lifetime member fee?! Would you so, ‘Whatchya talking about Willis?” Shyaa — I know, my thoughts exactly. The Italian Club of Dallas offers so much more than meets the eye. It truly is an all-encompassing business of everything Italian. Want to learn how to cook, speak, heck — be an Italian –this place is where it’s at! Starting from there ahhhhmazing tomato basil soup, I was in love. Amongst many drool-induced-sounding dishes I landed on the Rigatoni with meat sauce with the Trout and lemon sauce to follow. Before you immediately think I am the most hefer around, let me tell you that these portions are smaller and designed as the Italians intended. It’s us US o A folk that don’t understand the limit of a good thing. The portions are rich, delicious and moderated so you can fit it all in a four course enjoyable meal. Next time I find myself there it might be for an Italian language course or maybe an Italian cooking course? Eh, fuggitaboutit!

Bold Statement Alert: The Italian Club of Dallas is the BEST find I’ve ever made on Unilocal.Considering that I find everything on Unilocal from my hairdresser to a bed and breakfast, being the best find EVER screams AWESOME! The Italian Club is a hidden jewel on the Addison Inwood strip of liquor stores. I’ve seen it often over the years during my visits to Queen of Sheba(another barrel of awesome!), but I wasn’t aware that it was open to the public until I read some reviews on Unilocal. The outside is quite unassuming and doesn’t betray the secret of the incredible cuisine offered inside. Lunch is $ 14 for a 4 course meal. The four courses consist of a salad, soup, pasta choice and entrée. It is kind of deceptive, because it is really 6 courses. There is a appetizer thrown in there, and today they also gave me a cannoli(tiny, but SOOOOO wonderful) for dessert. The soup and salad are served on a buffet. The bread is also self serve and includes a variety of oils. The salad is nothing special and is offered with 3 dressings: Italian, Parmesan Peppercorn, and Ranch). Honestly, this is so much food that I suggest skipping the salad and bread so you have room for everything else. The surprise appetizer was bruschetta(the best I’ve ever had) and another toast with seasoned meat and mushrooms. Oh… my…gawd! They were both absolutely to die for with perfect flavors melding together in a marriage from heaven! The plate as drizzled with a thick balsamic vinegar for dipping. A nice touch to add to the perfection on my plate! The soup was the most outstanding Italian soup I’ve had since Lombardi Mare went out of business years ago. Look at the picture I added to the gallery. That soup is jam packed with seafood… shrimp, calamari, mussels, bits of fish, miniature octopi, etc. Veggies and mini meatballs were also in there to create a cornucopia of joyful flavors for my taste buds! Many restaurants would charge $ 14 alone for a bowl of soup crammed with this much seafood. I thought about having more than one bowl(served on a buffet, so you can!), but I knew I wouldn’t have room for everything else that was arriving if I pigged out on the soup. Soup… perfection! The next course was saffron risotto with seafood. It was perfectly cooked and portioned(they do not serve you obnoxious amounts of food). The risotto had plump shrimp in it and was served with two gorgeous mussels on the side. It was rich without being too much. I love that the flavors in this dish were not overwhelming so the seafood could be the shining star. Again… perfection. I choose the pan seared flounder with lemon sauce for my entrée. The picture of this dish is in the gallery for you to admire. This beautiful, delicate, delicious fish was served with a medley of carrots and peppers with a polenta/yellow potato blend as well. Although I thought I was going to pop, I ate every last morsel. LOVE! The cannoli was served at the end. It was small, but the best cannoli I have ever had in my life. I usually avoid desserts, but THIS was incredible! Lunch – $ 14, drink(tea) – $ 1…my bill was exactly $ 15. Service was outstanding, so I left a $ 5 tip. I am still astonished at the high quality and amount of food for the price! Things to be aware of should you choose to dine at The Italian Club of Dallas. 1. They are only open for lunch Tuesday-Friday. 2. Dinner is served only twice a week on Wednesday and Friday(make reservations for Friday dining). 3. They have Italian sandwiches and appetizers for great prices on Monday nights during football season, when they also air the game in the restaurant. You will not see me here on Mondays since I hate football. 4. They have monthly wine dinners! 5. If the Olive Garden is your idea of great Italian cuisine, this is not the place for you. 6. This is the real deal for Southern Italian food, so had an adventuresome attitude! It will be worth it! Thank you Unilocal for helping me find this gem! I cannot wait to go back!

Reading the last review… I can only say that if ANYBODY thinks they dont like Italian food. thats only because Theyve NEVER really had Italian food… the typical AMERICAN Italian fare is about as Italian as Taco Bell is Mexican. That being said this is the place for Italian. As an italian myself you better take my word for it!!! You better go eat cos we need to keep this place going! It feels like Im eating at home EVERY time! Its also an amazing deal 15 dollars for a complete three course meal! I think it cost us more than that to set a complete sunday dinner at home!
