I do mortgages and I do them well. The loan process itself isn’t easy, fun, or exciting but it’s necessary if you need the money to purchase or refinance a home. My job is to help you navigate through the process, determine the appropriate loan structure, and secure you a great rate at a competitive price.

My name is Mark Pfeiffer and I am Sr. Loan Officer with Highlands Residential Mortgage and a 10 year veteran of the mortgage industry. The mortgage industry is unpredictable and the loan process is anything but streamlined. (The good news is that means I have job stability.) Despite sounding cliché, every loan is unique and working with a professional makes all the difference. I’m not perfect (just ask Caroline, my wife) but that’s certainly the goal when working with clients to meet their goals and achieve their dream. In all seriousness, my team and I work very hard to do the things necessary to earn your business and future referrals. I look forward to working with you.

In one word, Superman. Mark Pfeiffer is the Superman of mortgage lenders. Mark (and his wonderful sidekick, Tamara) went above and beyond that which I could have imagined from a prospective lender. I began speaking with Mark, per a good friend’s recommendation, several months ago. From the onset, he was not only reachable but also took his time to explain things in whatever level of detail I requested. From the fine points to «dumbing» down general basics, Mark was knowledgeable and a great communicator.
Mark keeps his clients best interests in mind — as proven by the fact that he even told me to go with another lender, which, simply by virtue of timing, was able to provide a better «deal» for my home purchase. While the «deal» was economically more sound, my experience was nothing close to what I know it would have been had Mark and Highlands Mortgage been my ultimate lender. Even after I closed, with a different mortgage company, Mark has exhibited his genuine care by following up just to «check in» and «see how everything went.» It’s hard to come by professionals who take the time, but, more importantly, care enough, to do this.
