I had to find a new shoe repair shop after Mike in Bloomingdale retired. So I drove to Addison on my way to work and was pleasantly surprised when Ken asked if I could wait and did the minor repair on the spot, saving me a return trip. Good service and a fair price.

Mr. Ken does an amazing job. I have brought in all types of shoes in desperate need of attention. I am harder on some heels more than others and drive in them which often scratches them up pretty bad. Mr. Ken cleans them up and they look like nothing ever happen. Just recently I brought in shoes I found on sale that were in need of strap holders. Needless to say, Mr. Ken delivered once again. He completed the repairs in two days and did a wonderful job. If you need one heel repaired, go with getting both replaced together. I learned the peril of not doing this and will save you the experience. They are open six days a week,

I would not have Ken repair my shoes. He simply destroyed my Ecco shoes by using a stitch different that was initially used. He claimed it was stronger and better. I asked why he did not use the old style of stitch. He said you needed a special machine. Now my $ 200 Eccos leak and are uncomfortable(blisters). They never leaked and fit like a glove before. My wife thought a kindergartner worked on my shoes. I was so pissed that I was unable to even say anything to the man. In fact, to this day I still cannot believe he sewed my shoes that poorly.

First, I am a service person so I know how a service store should be run. I took some shoes into Ken for the first time. He handled the counter quickly and was a pleasant person to deal with. Today I picked up my shoes. They were repaired right and he went beyond the norm in also polishing them as well. Ken is a Craftsman and these people are getting harder to come by in this throw away society. I am happy to have found him and his business and I will be returning with further work. He is also reasonable in his pricing and had the shoes done in just 3 – 4 days. We should all be glad that he is doing this as Craftsmen are getting harder to find all the time– sloppy workers are easy. I can recommend Ken highly for the work he has done for my shoes.

Ken’s is a small store is a large strip mall anchored by a Jewel. If you weren’t looking for it, you’d never find it. Ken is a nice man who does all his work by hand. His prices are fair but he does have a strict 30 day policy so if you bring your stuff in, you better come back for it or it will end up for sale. He’s done shoes and luggage repairs for me.
