Steer clear! They rent old, poorly maintained and overpriced camping trailers (wires hanging loose from the ceiling, lights/​fans that don’t work, exposed screws/​nails that hurt children, broken screens/​doors, etc.). They tried to send us on the road with a bald tire which we had to twice ask for them to address. We later found they sent us on the road with another tire that was at half psi. They twice didn’t return calls including when we were out of town dealing with all their broken trailer accessories. When we returned, there were no other customers on the premises but we waited 30 minutes while Steve was pricing tires on the phone and Vince was working on some project. They would not offer any price adjustment except to say they will remembers us and offer a better price the next time and he recognizes that his fleet is old because of the economy. There will be no next time!

My mom recommended this place because my dad had apparently brought two of the family vans here in the past to get a hitch installed. «It’s only $ 100 too!» Well Mom, that was a good 15 years ago, so that price hasn’t quite stood the test of time. However, I did find the price more than reasonable because the Subaru dealership wanted to charge $ 650 to install a hitch (not including tax), and I paid pretty much half of that here.
The shop’s location isn’t the easiest to get to, but I blame Addison city planning and all the construction that Lake Street seems to have semi-​annually.
The two men that worked on my car were honest, nice people. They told me it would take two hours to install; it really took little more than an hour which was great.
My dad and I tested out the hitch when we got home. It’s sturdy so far.
There’s a little black dog that hangs out at the shop; she was pretty cute and tame. You won me over, Double M!

We had Double M install a hitch on our car so that we could use a hitch-​mounted bike rack. The rack was dragging on the ground and not working, so we took it back to them to see what the deal was.
«It doesn’t work,» my husband told them.
«Well, if we knew you were going to n! gger-​rig it to this rack, we…»
«WHAT? That’s not OK. Don’t talk that way.»
«Get out of my shop.»
Turns out that along with being racist jerks, they installed the hitch wrong, nearly bending a pan on the bottom of our car, and they refuse to fix it.
