I have been a crunch member for almost two years and I love this gym! It has very friendly staff, clean machines and a great atmosphere. They offer a wide variety of classes for many different levels. Also, all the trainers are very helpful and knowledgeable while consistently ensuring customer satisfaction. I go between morning and evenings and either time is always a great experience. The machines are almost always available (may be busy during peak hours) and management makes sure to fix things immediately. They are always open to suggestions and do their best to accommodate new ideas. Awesome fitness environment for a great price!

If only you could give negative stars. Worst experience of my life. I cancelled three separate times and they would not stop billing me. I finally had to dispute on my credit card and they STILL kept billing me (expect they billed me $ 40 a month instead of $ 10 because it was «late») then they had a collection company harass me. This place is a scam. Stay away.

I love this gym! Great fitness environment! Low prices! No contract! Very clean! The staff as well as management is awesome. I’ve been a member at many gyms and this is by far the best gym I’ve been to!

I have witnessed him walk into a class and start asking the instructor questions about the schedule he messed up right in the middle of class. As if there where no students around. Very Disrepectly. And you can barely hear the instructor because they dont have any mics. Since Jake has taken over things brake and rarely get repair. Even the simple things like the clock in the class room is the wrong time. How hard is it to set a clock? It’s been since March! Yeah it’s cheap but think about who you’re giving your money to and are these the kind of people you want to support.

I’ve been everywhere — 24Hr, LAF, Gold’s, EQX, etc — and this place does it right. How it’s this cheap I’ll never know. Free weights, the necessary machines, cardio gear, and the elusive monkey-​bar upper-​body station that so few places have. Lockers are pretty flimsy but who really uses a locker anymore anyway? Def worth a stop in.

Had good experience here, moved back to Florida, so we will see how the crunch by my house in Florida stacks up!

Clean, they have what you need and no douch bags yay! also, very organized and they have everything you need included zumba classes:)

Cool gym. Has the bare essentials, and is very reasonably priced. Staff is friendly too.
They don’t have all of the frills of an LA fitness, but as long as you are just looking to do work, they have everything you need.
For $ 10 a month, it’s very easy to say I highly recommend joining.

Make sure you read the fine print on their contracts — once you try to cancel, you’ll be asked to pay their annual membership fee. They also will fail to tell you that in person when you’re canceling. The person specifically told me I would be responsible for one final monthly dues payment and then their worthless Abc financial billing company billed me for annual fees. When I called them to pay, they tried to charge me 5 $ to take payment over the phone — then transferred me to nowhere.

Crunch is by far the best gym I’ve been a part of (and I’ve been a part of many)!! Aaron the owner and Mike the general manager are great! Front desk staff are always friendly faces! Gym never seems to crowded and always clean.
Scott is the best trainer/​coach I have ever encountered! His techniques are successful and will change your fitness ways. He is very knowledgable it fitness and nutrition. He is always encouraging you to be your best!
I enjoy many of the classes included in my membership and also pay extra for small group training and it’s worth every penny! I don’t think anyone that is part of small group training has ever had second thoughts about it! I suggest trying out all the classes and instructors until you find your favorites because everyone doesn’t like everything and each class/​instructor brings something different to the table!

I can’t get enough of this gym! If you like high intensity classes, amazing staff, great/​new equipment, and not to mention all for a great deal you’ll wanna check it out! I’ve been a member since October and go 4 – 5 days a week and attend at least 4 classes a week. Not only do you learn the proper way to do things but the level of support and encouragement is there.
They truly live by their motto «No Judgments»! I highly recommend and continue to recommend this gym to any and all!

Disappointed and misled is how I felt when I left. I called ahead to ask about the videography class I saw online and the lady told me it was a hip hop dance class. I got hype like I was about to become a Dancing Doll (Lifetime’s Bring it) in a day! I drove up and saw a sign that said, «Get access to all our awesome classes for only $ 9.95 a month» and thought I had hit the jackpot!
I walked in and said, «I want access to all the classes for $ 9.95.» The guy laughed and said, «Well, actually, to attend classes, you have to upgrade to a $ 20 per month membership.» I argued that the sign said $ 9.95 and he continued to laugh at me. Granted, I’m funny. But I was also serious! I really wanted to be a Dancing Doll though so I told him to sign me up because the class started in 15 minutes. He got quiet and informed me that they were actually not offering videography that day. From our conversation, I suspect the teacher got canned or quit.
I left without joining a gym yet another year. The class schedule did not match the schedule posted online or the one handed to me when I walked in. The price did not match the sign posted out front. It’s a small gym with lots of weights and a room on the side that looks like a cute dance studio where they do these alleged classes so that’s cool. No towel service. Bring your own lock. They do provide yoga mats, a drinking fountain, and some cold drinks for purchase. Also, they planted a couple pieces of candy at the front when I walked in that made me look forward to working out with a couple of the members. (How y’all doin?) Overall, it seems this gym might still be my choice should I ever work up the courage to join a gym but it didn’t happen this week!

Love, love, love this gym! First of all, it’s only $ 10 a month. For the cost of lunch you can make an investment in your health. I pay for the upgraded membership ($ 20/​month) so I can tan but just $ 10 gets you access to all the shiny machines and fun classes!
For people new to working out (like myself), the group fitness classes provide great direction and motivation! I have attended almost every class offered at some point. Zumba always packs a crowd and they even have a «surf set & sand» taught on surfboards! Try one of those or Angie’s yoga class if you’re looking for something a little more quiet.
If quiet and tame isn’t really your style, try any class taught by Scott! I know his name has come up in a few reviews, so I feel the need to address it. Personally, I have been working out with Scott for 6 months and I’ve never felt insulted or put down by him at all, as another Unilocaler said. This isn’t to say you can slack in his classes and not expect to be singled out– he definitely holds people accountable. However, I’d rather have someone who pushes me to be better than never raises their voice. In the time I’ve been working out with Scott I’ve dropped my body fat by %5, improved my running form and finally done my very first chin up! I could say plenty of other nice things about this trainer but you’re better off finding out for yourself.
If I had one minor complaint it would be that the facility closes at 8 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Although, that’s a pretty minor inconvenience given all the other benefits. Despite a changing schedule and 60 hour work weeks, I am always able to find a class to attend at crunch. If you’re even a little interested I suggest stopping in to see Aaron, Mike or Scott at the front desk and ask for a tour!

Membership specials going on all the time, which is awesome! Front desk staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Never packed to where you can’t find a machine to workout on. Great equipment!
Glad my mother and I made the decision to join.

I signed up for crunch before it even opened back in the spring. I was preparing to have RNY Surgery and wanted a place close to home that I could workout in for a reasonable price. The price at Crunch is very reasonable and the amenities are great. I have been going since the weekend it opened and I have not had one bad experience!
I love the classes, especially Surfset & Sand and Yoga.

For what it is, this is an absolutely beautiful sexy facility. For this review, I’m going to get straight to the point:
— CRUNCH is a national gym chain with gyms all over the country. This location is the first in Dallas, and as of now, the only one in North Texas.
— This CRUNCH location is a franchise, so its systems and ways of doing things are a bit different than locations in NY and LA (this only matters if you are visiting one way or the other. In fact, your Dallas CRUNCH keytag is for this gym and this gym only…
— The Addison gym is huge and spacious. it’s clean and has a good variety of sweat-​inducing classes on its schedule (most of which, I’m sure are amazing, but I haven’t yet tried…)
— As this gym is only months old, all the equipment is brand-​spanking-​new. Weight machines are HOIST, treadmills are STAR TRACs, and then even have a few «Spinners» on the workout floor.
— One class is called «Tread N Shed» that uses the treadmills on the workout floor as part of the class, so check the schedule before jumping on a Reserved treadmill… the class looks awesome, though!
— Bring your own towel for the gym floor, and for the showers. Bring your own lock, too. This gym may be no frills, but it definitely has everything you need. Full set of free weights, TRX, and even those big ropes.
— The stretching area is on turf — you can’t miss it, and it’s also huge and spacious.
— There aren’t many amenities here: no steam room or sauna. No special soaps in the shower — just one soap for everything.
— That said, for a gym that’s not Planet Fitness, you really can’t beat it at $ 9.99/month.
— Added bonus: Tanning and hydrotherapy massages?!? What What!?!
I think CRUNCH has a great opportunity to present itself and expand it’s market share in Dallas and the D/​FW Metroplex. With the CRUNCH brand behind it, I’m sure it will be maintained well, and I see this becoming a long-​lasting fixture for the neighborhood and hopefully the city.

I am a Crunch Addison fan! I love the classes and the trainers. The price, the classes, and the equipment all equal a steal.
Look, Yes, Scott is vocal but he’s supposed to be. I appreciate him for encouraging me to do that extra pushup and the motivation to move to the next level. Where do you get instructor lead classes for $ 11 a month?

Oh, every morning and evening when I walk in Im greeted by a friendly face. Way to go Crunch! What a value.

I recently left my previous gym because they were charging way too much. A friend recommended crunch to me because it is $ 10 a month. Crunch is fairly new which also means it is not as crowded yet. This is a no frills gym with no judgments. I tried the guest pass for a week and took plenty of classes. I was really impressed with all the different classes as well as the great instructors. I love that most classes are different formats and range from 30 minutes to an hour. The gym is very clean and the staff is really friendly. I decided to join after my week pass was finished and I’m really glad I did. When you do sign up there is a $ 40 annual fee and an enrollment fee as well. It is still A LOT cheaper than most gyms. I would recommend crunch to anyone who is looking to switch gyms or to even start working out again.

I am still on the fence with this place. They have a great offer of $ 10/​month for gym use or a $ 20 that includes tan, and water massage table. I only went during the free trial peroid, but I am skepitcal that they might have hidden cost as he mentioned a fee once a year.
You can’t beat those rates around town and the equipment is all brand new so all working perfectly. There is no pool, or basketball courts though.

This is a low cost, no frills gym, initially you think there are several of these type of gyms popping up all around, but what stands out about this one is the awesome group classes that are included.
I don’t join a gym before it opens, especially if it’s a new format (no others in the area) so I went in on a Sunday and toured the facility first, there was no hard sell just information and a look around. At this point I knew I was going to join but I took advantage of a 5 day guest pass, again no pressure, I had 5 consecutive days to try out the gym and classes. The owner was at the front desk each day I went, he is very friendly as is all the staff and instructors.
On my 5^th day of the pass I joined, can’t beat a $ 10 enrollment fee and the monthly fees are excellent. They have two levels of membership and both include the classes. The higher level membership allows you to bring a guest with you each time you come. I left another (extremelly expensive) gym to join Crunch and I’m satisfied. The $$ savings are definitely worth more than the small extras/​perks that you get at the other expensive gyms. My few complaints, and the reason for only 4 stars, is the speaker system in the classroom. The music sounds great but you can not understand the instructors when they speak through the mic. I hope that can be corrected. Also, I’ve only been able to find one water fountain, if it could be upgrade to include a tall spout in order to easily fill up cups/​bottles and perhaps add a water fountain inside the class room.
As previously stated, this is a no frills gym, so no towel service, be sure to bring your own, you’ll need your own lock too if you want to use the lockers, no spa, salon, sauna, pool or hot tub but do you really need these to get a great workout? Nope. They have all the necessary cardio & weight machines plus all the free weights that any other gym has. I’ve mainly been in the classroom though.
Ok on to the classes.
Surfset and Sand is really cool. They have equipment I’ve never seen before. It’s a surf board that works your balance and stability. The class is only 30 minutes, it would be nice if it was longer. There is limited equipment so be sure to get there early to sign in and reserve a spot.
Absolution is a core focused class that will leave you sore the next time you sneeze.
They also have Pound which uses weighted drumsticks, really cool.
Yoga, TRX, Bosu, Zumba, Cardio Tai Box, plus many more. These are the classes on the summer schedule. After talking to the owner, he stated they will be adding more and different classes.
I’m a Zumba hater but I know that every instructor is different so I tried the class here. Justin and Dez are both awesome and I have actually been back to Zumba class more than I ever thought I would admit to. The times i’ve gone neither of the instructors were overly salsa-​ish, they were both more hip hop songs which I loved!
I noticed the boxing bags hanging in the gym, about 6 of them I think, so I asked at the front desk if they would eventually offer a boxing class. I was told the gym would soon have group training and it would incorporate the use of those bags. They also offer personal training, both for an additional cost. A group boxing class would be awesome though. *hint hint*
Definitely give this gym a try, I’m enjoying it. I have several friends who have joined as well it’s a party in the classes.
