History

Established in 2010.

We were formed not by overnight success, but rather by years of planning, countless hours of hard work, and the determination to follow our dreams.

Our story begins in the summer of 2001. Having nothing but a dream and a very old Hi8 camcorder, a small television, and two VCR’s, the idea of creating custom videos for a multitude of clients seemed a concept far from reality. Not knowing what to do, where to begin, or how to get to where we wanted to go, we produced our first «video» utilizing the minimal equipment we had at the time, and we were truly proud of our small accomplishment.

Today, Avelar FilmWorks has evolved both its methods and its clientele. We expanded from Weddings and Special Events to Concerts, Commercials, Video Marketing, and even Independent Productions for the large and small screen. Our productions have changed but our vision remains the same, and we discovered the magic and true happiness found only in the art of the motion picture.
