Worst doctors office I’ve ever been to. I never write reviews but really feel like I need to because of my experience here. Very unhelpful and very rude staff. Got no help with what I came in for. I told them my problem (neck pain from a fall) and they billed me and I paid out of pocket. Then when I saw the doctor she told me that she couldn’t help me and that I needed to go to the er… The tech I saw was super awkward and I for sure want my money back since she did nothing except inform me she couldn’t treat me there because it was a place for paper cuts and smaller injuries. Then she made me sign a sheet saying I was refusing medical advice and left. I didn’t even realize the appointment was over because she didn’t say anything… Never going back to this doctor.

I reserved a time on the hospital website. Its like an appointment and you do get care more quickly and taken before many walk ins. Many, but not all. Obviously if an emergency comes in they need to address that first.
I made my appointment for 11am. I got a call saying they were super busy and had an emergency, could I please come at 1pm instead. No problem for me because its the weekend. I got there at 12:55pm and was seen quickly and ended up leaving before before 2pm. I was there about an hour. The doctor even sent my prescription to my pharmacy before I left, this way I could just pick them up when I got there without having to wait. (My antibiotics and nasal spray only cost me $ 22 with no insurance!)
It was very clean in the front and the back. The front office staff greeted me with a smile despite their over-​whelmingly busy day. The nurse was nice. Very funny. Great sense of humor. The doctor was lovely and kind. She was patient and took time to listen to me. Even if they were busy she didnt make me feel like I was just a name on a list. She was very cheerful and welcoming. Great bedside manner. I will be returning there if needed and glad to know there is a great place to go when your doctor is too busy to see you or have a situation that needs immediate care but not severe enough for an emergency room.
The ONLY down side to this location is I have found conflicting hour for this site posted threw out the internet. The hospital website says one thing and Unilocal says another thing and google says some thing else. I went by the actual hospitals website for the hours which are accurate. Just an fyi!

i had an incident where i brought my sick father with pnemonia and they refused because we did not have work order from doctor. they also have misleading hours blood work is only to 4 pm. they also have wrong fax number so we could not get work orderin. my father was admitted into hospital thank you for your concern. i hope you will update your web page for future patients

I can’t comment on the «Immediate Care» portion of this facility, but I have been here twice — once for my annual MS brain and spine MRIs, and once for my mammogram.
Both times I was able to get an appointment around my schedule (early morning and Saturday), and both times I was in and out with minimal wait or hassle.
There was some confusion and attitude around scheduling of one of the appointments though. The woman who answered the phone thought nothing of putting me on hold for over 10 minutes without the courtesy of telling me WHY or coming back to the line. I had to hang up and call back, and when I did, she had an attitude with no apology or explanation and proceeded to put me BACK on hold for another long amount of time. Finally, she came back and told me they were answering the phones for the entire facility. So my hold time was NOT because they were looking up my referral or trying to schedule. They were simply too busy.
The entire wait time in scheduling this appointment was well over 20 minutes when it was all said and done. I could have done without the attitude.

Horrible service. Nurses are uncaring & the Dr is condescending. Don’t go there close to closing time. They get pissed off.

It’s immediate care /​urgent care so I never expect all that much, but this was ridiculous.
My girlfriend had a horrible sinus headache for the last two days. Took her to Alexian Brothers this morning (Sunday) to try and get something prescribed.
The waiting room was empty when we arrived, so we were hopeful we might get in quickly. Instead we waiting for about an hour in the waiting room and then were ushered back into another room where we waited another hour while outside the room 4 or 5 people chatted and ate lunch and just hung out. (Not really unexpected, though hardly faster than an Emergency Room.)
We had the lights off because light was killing my girlfriend’s eyes. The pain had escalated a lot and my girlfriend was crying and shaking. The doctor finally poked her head in, turned on the light, and told her she was going to shut the door because my girlfriend was being too loud.
15 minutes later the doctor came back in. I happened to be sitting on the doctor’s stool next to the bed where my girlfriend was laying. The doctor immediately said, «Get off the stool, that’s what we have chairs for». Ok. I got off the stool.
She then told my girlfriend to sit up because she needed to ask her some questions. My girlfriend asked to stay where she was because moving really upset her sinuses. The doctor was adamant that the questions couldn’t be answered lying down and forced her sit up to answer 10 minutes of routine questions we’d already been asked outside. One thing we told her was that my girlfriend was horribly allergic to Vicodin.
At the start of the question the doctor started yelling at my girlfriend for not taking any pain pills before she came in. My girlfriend explained that she’d previously been told in other situations not to medicate before she went to the hospital. The doctor yelled «That’s ridiculous and just stupid. You should have taken some pain killer before you came in. This is just ridiculous.»
At this point my girlfriend wanted to leave, but I got the doctor to look at her. The doctor wrote some prescriptions and told us she’d send the nurse in with a painkiller that wasn’t Vicodin.
Great.
10 minutes later the nurse wandered in and says «Here’s your pain pill.» My girlfriend is about to take it and I ask what it is. She says oh it’s just (whatever the drug name is)…generic Vicodin dear.” I exploded. I’m like… how could we have been more clear. We told 3 people she’s deathly allergic to Vicodin.
At that point I told the nurse to give me the prescriptions and we were getting out of there.
Urgent care is always a long wait, it’s always a hassel, but I have never encountered such uncaring and incompetent people.
Oh…and the prescriptions… turned out to be for extremely expensive name brand anti-​biotics. My girlfriend has had these infections before and prescriptions for anit-​biotics have never been nearly this expensive (with Blue Cross Blue Shield IL) before. Approx ~$ 250 for a simple anti-​biotic and $ 10 for a generic Darvocet.
AVOID THIS PLACE.

Suffering from a cold or springtime allergies? I have been noticing my light case of asthma, which is triggered by environmental allergies, kicking up into full gear the last couple of weeks. However, I cannot get an appointment right away with the new doctor that I have decided to go to, so my lifesaving prescription of Singulair has run out. Solution? Alexian Brothers Immediate Care. I went here in between client appointments, with basically an hour to spare, and they had me out of here in 30 minutes flat with my prescription, and had done a thorough job of checking my vitals and istening to my breathing. The nice doctor even took time out to talk to me — unbelievable! And, my favorite sign is in the waiting room — if you are sneezing or coughing, please take a mask! We should be able to post that sign everywhere we go, as most people don’t seem to have issue with spreading their germs these days!
