SCAMARTIST Company Alert. ***DONOTUSE*** We accidentally locked our guest bathroom door by mistake and did not have a key to re-open. We called this company to come out, and agreed to the automatic $ 19 non-refundable service charge to come out. When the guy arrived he quoted us $ 165. After discussing with my husband, we decided to turn down the service, pay the $ 19, and shop for another company as we felt that price was very high. The tech’s attitude instantly changed to a very negative tone. He asked us what we felt that we should pay. We are brand new home owners and did not know, but felt this was far to high of a charge. He then told us it was higher due to the weekend, but that the company would likely negotiate. We were starting to feel misled at this point and declined the service all together. The tech then charged us $ 35 for the service charge as opposed to agreed upon $ 19!!! When asked about it, he said it was due to the 20 minutes he had been out there(even though it was only 10 minutes as evidenced by my phone record with him upon his arrival!!). When he left, we discussed it and felt again misled and«scammed», so we decided to call the manager. The tech manager called us back and told us that there was a misunderstanding on the service charge and refunded us $ 16. Let’s call a horse a horse shall we. This was a scam all along. Why wasn’t a rough estimate given up front so that we could decide if we wanted to go with another company? Why weren’t we told in advance that weekend charges are more expensive(because this was not urgent and we would have waited)? Why weren’t we immediately offered best offer price as opposed to a high figure and then negotiations offered? And above all, why the hell were we charged $ 16 extra service charge and were then lied to by the tech about why that amount was charged!!! We learned a hard lesson as new home owners and will definitely NOT ever use this company again. ***SAVEYOURSELF A LOTOFFRUSTRATIONANDDONOTUSE!!!***
