History
Established in 1999.
Acworth Parks, Recreation and Community Resource Department was established in 1999 by a handful of individuals who saw the need for a department that could provide a positive economic impact on our local economy. Since then, we have expanded to include 13 parks, 4 seasonal beaches and over 300 acres of green space.
