Manager

Eric Delgado has over 20 years of industry experience as a master certified technician, as well as a service advisor. Eric has extensive knowledge of mechanical systems for all makes and models. Throughout his many years as an auto mechanic, Eric has developed a skill set that allows him to effecitvely and accurately diagnose vehicles of all different makes. Eric has also spent much of his career educating himself on the technical aspects of tire performance. As manager of Quicklane Tire and Auto Center, Eric excels at making informed tire recommendations for all makes, models and driving conditions. Eric’s goal is to make every customer feel comfortable and well informed about the decision to service or repair their vehicle.

I’ve been back quite a few times for oil changes and the like. I have never gotten bad service here. If you live or work in the area, this is a great place to go minor car services.

I am not going back here anymore. Had a lot of work done, but over time the parts and/​or repair has not lasted. Muffler and pipe lasted less than 2 years, even worse than Midas. Had all brakes done, including servicing a frozen read caliper, and ‘fixing’ the emergency brake. But a year later the rear caliper was frozen again. I bought my own new calipers and brought them in and made a case for free replacement due to their brake job only lasting a year; no deal, and besides charging me the labor, they kept my car for 3 days for a 1 hour job. Another year went by, and the rear rotors they put in were completely corroded and had to be replaced. And the ebrake had to be repaired again.
Bottom line: Not Quick, Not reliable, Not worth it.

Great experience. I had 2 tires replace on my Tundra as well as an oil change and alignment. David gave me a quote that basically matched what the tires would have cost from tirerack. They didn’t call me trying to upset me. They did everything as promised. I will certainly go back.

I work in the area, and was looking for a place to get a state inspection done and an oil change. I called to schedule an appointment and they had an opening at 2 pm, so I agreed.
When I showed up, I was surprised to find out that they are actually owned by the neighboring Ford dealership. Not a huge deal for an oil change, but I may be concerned if I had any other work done, as I don’t own a Ford, and would question how familiar they are with other vehicles. The reason for two stars though, is time. Maybe I was assuming too much, but when a place is called «Quick Lane» I would assume that they are set up for quick turn around for simple items such as oil changes and state inspections. This did not turn out to be the case. With an appointment scheduled, I was at the shop for nearly 2 hours! One reason being that they had to drive my car over to the Ford dealership for the state inspection because they didn’t have the equipment at the shop (not a huge deal, but worth noting). Other than that, I’m not sure exactly took so long as my car was «getting the oil changed» in the bay for over an hour.
At the end of the day, my car’s oil was changed, and I had a new inspection sticker, but what should have taken no more than a half an hour, took up my entire afternoon.

I love these guys. Quick, earnest, empathetic and high quality. I bring three cars to them — a Suburban and a 10 yr old Volvo and they have done a great job with both. They have also helped me with quick fixes at no cost just to be helpful as they know I am a long time customer.

I’m really pleased with my recent experience at Quick Lane. After calling all of the locally owned garages in my area to schedule a brake service and rim repair– many of which didn’t return my call — my fiancé and I drove over to Quick Lane for a drive-​up appointment.
I explained that I had recently had a basic oil change done at the dealership for my VW Jetta, and the technician noticed the rear brakes needed to be replaced. As the car is out of warranty anyway, I wasn’t going to pay dealership prices and I wanted to see what Quick Lane could offer. They took the information on the car and mentioned that they’d have to do a brake diagnosis first, but they’d call me with the results.
I have one minor criticism — their follow-​up could be better. I’m a *very* persistent person, and ended up calling them multiple times to find out what the status was with my car, which would likely irritate the normal customer. However, I took it as a pretty positive sign — they must do great work because they were very busy and Eric was always a pleasure to talk to.
They have a very clean, welcoming facility and everyone was pleasant on the phone and in person. They even managed to price-​matched competitively, which I feel is nearly unheard of from a franchise. The technician at Quick Lane noticed the bent lip on my rim and offered to straighten it for me – I’m very, very happy with my experience here and will definitely be back for my car, as well as my fiancé’s. He needed new tires and Quick Lane found a really great deal for us that beat every other place we’ve tried.

I’ve been to Quick Lane in Acton on several occasions ranging from oil changes, to tire replacements to brakes. Overall experience has been OK. They are friendly enough and professional. However, I will not go back for oil changes. I get perturbed when they advertise a coupon for a $ 19 oil change that ends up costing about $ 30 after disposal fee, taxes and other fees. To be fair, it is listed in small print on the coupon that those charges are extra but I think its a bit deceptive. Most of the other oil change places include disposal in the coupon price. Secondly, there’s nothing really «quick» about the getting an oil change at Quick Lane. It took me over an hour compared to less than 30 minutes at Valvoline or Jiffy Lube. They are not structured to quickly turn over the «walk-​in» client looking for a quick oil change.

Beware of Bait and Switch: I showed up with a $ 29 oil change coupon from their own website. When I got there, they said I’d have to pay $ 39, but would get the $ 10 in the mail. After two months and three phone calls (all initiated by me), they tell me they’re not giving me the $ 10, but will give me a $ 10 credit the next time I come in. I’m not a lawyer, but that sounds illegal to me.

Very pleased with my recent experience at Quick Lane in Acton. My daughter’s 2000 Cavalier had become unsafe when the rear wheels locked up every time she applied the brakes, and we took a chance with Quick Lane. I visited this location on Friday and explained the situation to Eric, who told me I could drop the car off Saturday morning and they would do a free brake inspection.
Arriving bright and early the next morning, they had the car diagnosed by 10am and assessed the situation as faulty wheel cylinders. By 2pm the car was ready to go and tada! The brakes actually stopped the car without locking up! Nobody likes to spend $$ on old cars, but Eric’s estimate was spot on and he had mentioned a service coupon from their website that I applied to the bill as well.
A big thanks to Eric and the team for making my daughter’s car safe again.

We have been taking our cars to the Acton Quick Lane for a few years now and I’ve always had good luck with them. Sometimes expensive things on a car break, and we’ve had a few of those instances, but I don’t feel like there’s ever been a time where we were charged for a repair that wasn’t necessary — in fact, a few months ago we took my husband’s car in because it sporadically not starting. We assumed the worst and were prepared to pay quite a bit to have it fixed, but it turned out to be a very simple solution. Today was another good example; I took my car in for it’s regular oil change and asked them to check my tires as my tire pressure light was on. Turns out I had a nail stuck in the back tire but the guys patched it up for free! I have always found the guys at Quick Lane to be helpful and professional.

They advertised a brake change for $ 200 on their website (no exceptions or conditions noted). So we took our vehicle in. They then gave us an estimate for $ 713, which included changing a caliper. Will head elsewhere…
**Update**
My husband decided to just fix the brakes himself. Found the calipers to be just fine (the mechanic said that it was completely frozen!!). Not ethical!

I have gone to Quickline in Action twice now, and both times they found costly repairs both times. First time (Aug 2011) was for brakes, and it ended up costing over $ 1000 after using many of my old parts. I’m pretty sure it would have been cheaper to replace everything… So I feel like that was too much, but i decided that may have been a fluke.
They gave me a credit for the breaks and I foolishly returned recently (Feb 2012). I needed an inspection and an oil change. They ended up charging my $ 900+ for «necessary repairs.» Which included a FOG light, a torn boot, a wheel bearing, and 2 new tires (which they were supposed to call me about, but they just decided to put on whatever fit). When I arrived to pick up the car they showed me the torn boot but I don’t know how much damage there really was when it was on the car.
I feel like they look for anything they can to jack up your bill every time you go in there. For that reason, I will not be going back.
On the plus side, everyone there is professional and they place is very clean. But if I want that environment I’ll just go to the dealer. At lest then I know I’m being screwed from the start, not have it sprung on me after the fact.

Five stars for Quick Lane’s response to my Unilocal.
In an industry that is typically causes me to guard my wallet with one hand when I walk in and describe the problem with me car, I feel obligated to let you know about the response that I received to my previous post here on Unilocal about Quick Lane.
To my surprise a few after my posting on Unilocal I received an and email from the manager at Quick Lane concerned about my experience.
Today I spoke with him on the phone.
I will admit I expected to be told what I had done wrong in explaining what I wanted done, or why my car was unique. However, my call with the manager was the exactly opposite.
He started off my simply asking me to explain what happened, he listened and then talked to me about how he felt Quick Lane could have done a better job communicating and working with me.
He offered me a token of «good will» to make up for my experience and asked that I call or email him if I ever had a problem or concern in the future.
As I mentioned above, I was expecting the worst and received truly outstanding customer service. I would like to call out by name the person I spoke with there, but not sure if he would like me to. So I will simply say as with any auto repairs/​maintenance make sure to ask your questions up front, but if you have an issue speak up. I expect you will be listened to and well taken care of at Quick Lane just like I was.
