We service all makes or models of machines. We have a full schedule of instructional and creative classes for all levels of experience and carry everything you need to get started.

History

Established in 2012.

Daley By The Yard started out as a father/​daughter venture, which grew from Tom and Erin working together in his landscaping business; Erin, the garden designer, and Tom, the foreman of the crew. Erin had spent several years in the sewing machine industry, and attended Lasell College for Fashion Design before joining her father’s landscaping team. In 2011, they decided to open a sewing shop together. Tom, whose background is in electronics and machinery, attended the sewing machine technical program at Bernina in Chicago, Il. Since opening in 2012, their reputation for sewing machine service has grown, and another Daley ha joined them. Michael, coming from the landscaping, is very mechanical and has become an asset to the shop. Erin is an enthusiastic sewist, teacher, DIY-​er, and crafter. She coordinates and supports Daley’s teaching and part-​time staff. Through her experience in the industry, Erin is familiar with all makes and models of sewing machines.

Through her experience in the industry, Erin is familiar with all makes and models of sewing machines, and all are welcome in their classes. Daley’s is a second generation family business whose goal is to provide excellent customer service, serve their community, and to create a fun, informative sewing atmosphere for Greater Boston’s sewists.
