Create!® Sewing Studio is the premier private sewing school in the Boston area, located in metro west. Students of all ages (age 5 to age 75) learn to sew on our brand new sewing machines, sewing everything from garments to home dec.

Our instructors have many years of experience and our ratio of teachers to students is very high. All of our classes have a minimum of 2 teachers for 8 – 10 students. We pride ourselves on the super high quality of the sewing projects that our sewing students complete and our fun learning environment.

History

Established in 2008.

«The idea for Create!® Sewing Studio came from my desire to share the creative environment I experienced as a child growing up. My family included multiple generations of creative artists and sewing enthusiasts.

My great-​aunt was a professional seamstress, my grandmother sewed wonderful outfits for my dolls and was an accomplished embroiderer, and my mother, sister and I sewed many of our own clothes plus home decorating items such as curtains, pillows, etc. I was surrounded by creative people and the materials to create with. I wanted to share the creative yet practical skill of sewing with others.” – Rebecca

Meet the Business Owner

Rebecca S.

Business Owner

Founder, director, and lead sewing instructor Rebecca has been sewing since the tender age of six. She has a BA in Art from Tufts and the Boston Museum School and an MBA from Simmons. Rebecca was a resident artist/​craftsperson at Emerson Umbrella Center for the Arts in Concord, MA and has a great deal of sewing and teaching experience.
