Acton Pharmacy

I went to three pharmacies before Acton Pharmacy. So relieved to finally find pharmacists who act professionally. Highly recommended.

Outstanding customer service and top notch compounding. Went here out of necessity when our preemie son needed compounded meds and found an absolute gem.

Great local owned/​run business. They really care about their customers and are always friendly and attentive. They sell products made locally as well as specially products that you would struggle to find else where. I will always choose here over the local chain pharmacies.

Our family tries to be pointedly supportive of small/​local businesses. Acton Pharmacy is owned and operated by a local family who are a part of the community. Acton Pharmacy has employees that will happily research a product for you.
While the local conglomerate sends you junk mail with sales incentives 2 – 3 times a week, this small business doesn’t shove their inventory in your face (to turn a profit.) They are stocked with worthwhile merchandise-​no unnecessary junk-​for your needs. They will try to obtain that rare item for you if you request it. (I requested a natural mouthwash for my sensitive gums, and it arrived in 4 days, now they stock it for me on a regular basis.)
As for prescriptions-​unlike the conglomerate, they will not «auto» call you several times for a refill-(discretion is their motto, not profit at the expense of your privacy.)
Our family has been using them for a couple of years. We transferred all our scripts to their pharmacy after several indiscretions on the part of some pharmacists at the big business. The pharmacists at Acton Pharmacy don’t make you feel like you are being «processed». Each one has acknowledged me at one point, by my name. You will always be asked if you’d like a consultation on your script, no matter how often you get it. In the last two years we’ve had just one incident when a pharmacist blurted out loud, in front of other clients, the name of a prescription. This is a good track record in my estimation.
Big business drugstore shopping was convenient for those cartfulls, with wads of coupons when my kids were little, and I was tight on time. Now that they are older, we no longer need the items that are unreasonably overpriced and require coupons to afford-​diapers, formula, rash creams, etc… and we also no longer buy the add on «junk» that lines the registers.
While I am grateful for that big business for employing many townsfolk, and providing us affordable alternatives with their sales incentives, and it has served our family for over a decade, we no longer find it necessary to shop there for our drugstore needs.
Acton Pharmacy also has compounds and Homeopathy medications, referrals too. I haven’t used either yet.

Love this pharmacy! The staff are very friendly and attentive. There are many pharmacists working and they make it a point to talk to you about your medications. A1 service! They also have many products that you would not find at a regular drug store. It feels like what a pharmacy is supposed to be.
