There’s a reason why people wait forever to get into this place. Cute little café with an extensive and interesting breakfast menu. Pumpkin pancakes are to die for.

Went with my sister and mom. They had the cinnamon swirl pancake and stuffed cinnamon French toast. Their meals were to die for. I however got the eggs Benedict and was not impressed with the hollandaise sauce. I would have to say the place is very expensive since 3 of us racked up a $ 50 bill. The wait time to get a table plus the wait time on our food wasn’t worth it. I would recommend the pancakes and French toast options since they were delicious, never again will I order the eggs Benedict.

First time here because there are usually long lines but we went today around 1:00pm and got a table right away. Shea’s lives up to the hype! Had bananas foster pancakes, sausage patties and home fries. Hubby had farmers omelet. Both delicious! Excellent service! Everyone smiling and very friendly. Will be back to support such a great place.

Finally got around to giving this place a third try after wanting to become a die-hard local fan of this breakfast joint since everyone but me seemed to have had spectacular experiences which I, too, wanted to share. And man, third time really was the charm. Dropped by with a good friend on a rainy, chilly day and one thing that always touches my heart regarding customer service is when the owner(or main manager of a big joint) can interact with you on a somewhat personal level regardless of how packed the place may be. Stirring up small conversations and making sure those who are waiting to be seated are waiting comfortably are cool gestures. Ordered the special Breakfast Club Sandwich, this time around, and it was wonderful! Highly recommend especially with the nice spicy mayo touch. Decided to go with my gut feeling when I ordered this instead of what folks seem to rave about and I do not regret it one bit. Although I will admit, the«triple-decker» description did sound intimidating but I was a hungry lady, and the egg and spicy mayo just sounded tempting. And the egg was cooked to perfection; not super dry and not super messy to bite into. And mission success. I have officially been converted into a Shea’s Café local fan.

I’ve been here twice and both times the food was great. Each time I order the Shrimp and crab Benedict though the second time I also ordered one plain pancake. Simply put, the food here is impeccable, the seafood was fresh, the hollandaise was 100% yummy and the portions were generous. The pancake was much larger/thicker than I anticipated but it was so fluffy I ended up eating at least ¾s of it(pro tip: add some whipped cream). I can promise you, you will not walk out hungry. The only downside was the wait. The first time we came, the two of us were seated in about 45mins. The second time was rough, even though it looked like not many people were waiting, the wait was estimated to be about 45mins. As it turns out, since it was kinda cold, many people were waiting in their cars and that 45minute wait turned into well over an hour and then it took a while perhaps another 25mins or so for the food to come out. In essence, if you don’t mind the wait, you should definitely stick around for the food. I drive close to 2 hours just to come for their breakfast and don’t regret it one bit!

This place is great. I’ve only had the breakfast options which are truly amazing. Any speciality pancake options are amazing. Picture pancakes as big as your plate with amazing toppings! My favorite is the cinnamon swirl. Tastes just like a cinnamon bun! We also love their egg Benedict options. My wife’s favorite is the Tuscan Benedict with sautéed spinach, Italian sausage, and roasted peppers on a traditional eggs Benedict. The down side is the limited seating. Get to this place early. If your there at 9am on a Sunday forget about it. You won’t get a table for 2 hours. Believe me I’ve waited That long with friends. The manager has a very dry sense of humor, not sure if he’s joking around or being serious sometimes. However always makes sure we have a good experience. My favorite place for breakfast!

I don’t get it but you can’t argue with success. Have been to Shea’s and it’s a great place for breakfast, No doubt. Owner very friendly and he has a following that most restaurants would kill for. I drive by several times a week and there is usually a line to get in. During very cold weather no less. The food is really good.

This is definitely a go to place if you are anywhere near here, all of the employees are great and the food is delicious. Only draw back is there is always a wait! But it’s well worth it :)

A line well worth the wait! Food was unique and delicious! The service was no exception either. We walked in, placed our name on the waiting list, and when our party was called, the host actually came outside to get us! I’ll find my way back there soon.

Honestly, I’m over it. After coming here a number of times and enjoying the food, I am sad to say that the wait and hassle is not worth it. The same situation has happened 3 times already, and today was the last straw. My party arrives relatively early and is given a wait time of 35 – 40 minutes.(And yes, we had tried to call 10TIMES in the prior two days and no one picked up to add us on the wait list). After waiting for 45 minutes, we asked again how long we had and apparently there were 11TABLES still ahead of us! Impossible! My friend had even remembered there were only 5 tables ahead when we were added to the list, and it has somehow increased?! This is seriously getting ridiculous. I understand it’s a busy place with a small amount of tables, but the lack of consideration when it comes to certain customers isn’t tolerable. I have no doubt in my mind that certain customers who know the owner are given prior service, as multiple groups went ahead of us after arriving after us. There was no apology or even somewhat of a remorse from the owner so this is the last time I’m even attempting to wait.

This is the third time I’ve tried Shea’s, and although we arrived twenty-five minutes prior to the posted closing time, they had already posted the«We’re Closed» sign in the window, and had another patron who was sitting outside waiting to be seated telling anyone who came to the door that they were no longer seating anyone. «Sorry to be the bearer of bad news guys, but that is what they told us to tell people.» The first time we tried Shea’s there was over an hour wait so we left. The second time we called ahead and were told that our name would be put on a list, only to find out that that wasn’t true when we got there and we waited over an hour for our table. With our latest experience, and being in the food service and restaurant businesses ourselves, we can say with certainty we will not try a fourth time, nor will we be recommending them to friends. Very poor public relations.

Think this may be the best breakfast I’ve ever had. There’s a lot of variety on the menu that can be first experiences. The café is small and there isn’t a grand look to the place but that adds to how special it is. Gems are supposed to be discrete and hidden. So it was easy to appreciate. The owner is there to great you as you enter and as you get seated the waitress’s are quick and friendly. I got the Orleans Benedict on wheat toast and Kate got the Salmon Benedict on English muffin. They were equally too good and the pictures don’t do justice. Make it a point to try this place you’ll be coming back for sure.

I can totally understand all the raves about this place. To be honest this was my 2nd time being here, but I wouldn’t count my first time since it was for a birthday party and I didn’t pay attention to the service. Food here is wonderful, everything is at a reasonable price and each plate is HUGE! You honestly need to bring a really empty stomach because you’ll definitely need it when coming here! The first time I ordered an omelette, I remember it being absolutely delicious. I won’t comment too much on it since it was 2 years ago, but I thought I might as well add it to the review. This time, however I got Crabs Florentine Benedict which deserves a huge thumbs up. What I really need to emphasize on is the service and how I felt after leaving Sheas after my meal. For starters, we waited for an hour and 15 minutes approximately. So if I were you, either go super early for the minimal wait OR go an hour before you actually want to eat, because trust me the wait is pretty long with all those avid fans of theirs. I think Sheas is the only place I know down in South Jersey that actually has a «NY line»(A lot of good restaurants in NY are about an hour wait). Anyways… we waited patiently and the owner(who’s there everyday) got everyone in the order they came(it was all fair) depending on how large the party is. The owner is a really nice guy, comes to everyone’s table at least once to make sure everything is alright. The waitresses are awesome, they’re really nice and make sure your meal is great, making sure coffees/drinks were refilled and etc.(TIP: Coffee and Tea get 1 free refill) They also engage in small conversations so that’s nice too, it wasn’t too overbearing.(ATTENTION) We found out that they’re in the process of moving! Apparently according to one of the waitresses, in a couple months they will be relocating to a slightly larger restaurant and adding more to their menu(we talked about the possibility of adding cappuccinos and etc.) So I guess this might even be around spring time! So that means less wait time(hopefully) and more seats! Overall, Sheas is a very nice family owned restaurant. They deserve their praises from the locals and if you’re visiting make sure to stop by here for some quality morning service. Just be prepared for the long wait!

The only reason I can’t give five stars is because the wait is insane. I waited, of course and knew what I was getting into but when they move locations I am hopeful this will be resolved somewhat at least. I have been coming here for a few years, found it in college. Perfect post night out breakfast spot. Have been at lunch time but never for lunch, always breakfast. They have fun pancake and French toast variations, like bananas foster French toast made on French bread, or pumpkin cheesecake pancakes. Today I had the crunchy almond French toast and UGHHHHH so effing good. Waited two hours to get seated and when fork met mouth all my troubles went buh-bye! Also it says the stuff is baked fresh daily pretty sure not all is in house like bagels and pastries. I don’t care much but you may.

Shea’s is fantastic! Their breakfast selection is amazing, and it is a very cute and friendly place to eat. I especially recommend their various flavors of pancakes and french toast. The cooks here are very creative; you could eat there every day and never get bored with the food. The portions are large, coffee is refilled constantly, and the service is very friendly. You will hear owner and servers catching up with some of their regulars around you, it gives a great small-town vibe. However, since the café is very, very tiny(think 10 tables), there is usually a crowd of people waiting outside to be seated anywhere between 8 am and noon. Try to go on off-hours if you can, or on a weekday.

The brunch here is EPIC. Lori K. and I came for an early brunch on a winter Saturday and there was about half an hour wait. The restaurant itself looks like an unadorned, big square room, a bit reminiscent of a church basement. That said, it still manages to feel cozy and charming. The host is loud and animated, and our server had perfected her brunch time hustle. I had the country breakfast: three eggs, bacon, pork roll(aka a grilled slice of salty country ham), a sweet sausage link, delicious, hot seasoned hash browns, and a huge, melt in your mouth biscuit with whipped butter. It was all delicious and cost less than ten bucks!(God, I wonder why I insist on living in the city sometimes. I guess I like paying twice as much for the same things.) We wanted something sweet, and learned later that we could get a short stack or half order of French toast, but by then we couldn’t possibly eat another bite. Definitely worth a return visit!
