History
Established in 2014.
Greg and Rich both began their careers in crop insurance at John Sieh Agency in Aberdeen. Graduates of Northern State University, they’re combined experience in crop insurance equals over 40 years.
In 2014, they decided the next step was to go out on their own. This is when InsuraCrop was born. Although a new business, these two are not new to crop insurance.

Business Owner
Greg Wieker began his career in insurance in 1989 when he started working for the John Sieh Agency. Since that time, Greg has sold and serviced multi-peril crop insurance, crop hail insurance and property and casualty insurance spanning a five-state area from North Dakota down to Texas. In 2013, he was awarded the first ever Crop Agent of the Year by the Independent Insurance Agents of South Dakota and also received the 2013 Making a Difference award from the Aberdeen Area Chamber of Commerce. Greg not only has experience with crop insurance, but also growing crops with his brother on their family farm.
Richard Bachmeier began with the John Sieh Agency in 1992 as their head accountant. After four years of diligent work, Rich also took on a new role as a crop insurance agent. His knowledge, attention to detail and organization make him a valuable asset to farmers and the crop insurance industry itself.
