A hidden gem in York, take your time a find this place, not a huge selection on the menu but all the food is absolutely superb. Large selection of cider, lagers and beers to coose from and definitely thd friendliest and most welcoming staff you could ask for, nothing is too much trouble. Also worth noting child and dog friendly. Make the effort to find it or your missing out

Took a punt on this little bar/​café and enjoyed it thoroughly. Lovely friendly staff and great coffee (according to my companions) inside a cute place.
It was a hot day and my cold bottle of Brew Dog IPA really hit the spot.
A big fat slice of lemon drizzle cake was excellent.

Went here on a Living Social cocktail deal on a Saturday evening. It’s great: everyone is over 25 and not gravy tanned 16 year old nitwits like in Revs, it’s just out of the way of the main drag so its busy but not too busy, you can hear each other over the music and the cocktails are really nice and not too expensive. Not sure about during the day but will sample that later.

Looking for a lite lunch stumbled across the nook nice light and trendy café we’re of to a good start with nice welcoming staff with a pleasant manor and warm smile. Bottled diet coke a real bonus. Potato and leek soup and Mexican bean avocado and cheese melt sandwich for me same for my wife pulled pork sandwich for my son in law and paprika chicken sandwich for my daughter. After a 15 minate wait the soup and sandwiches arrived nice big bowl of soup a bit on the bland side but hot the mexican bean melt was real tasty and very filling served with potato chips and a small side salad pulled pork was served the same as was the paprika chicken. All sandwiches where realy tasty and well presented. Would definitely return.
