A party with a pan of paella is popular, delicious and guaranteed to add the ‘wow’ factor to any occasion. A paella pan is about a metre in diameter, and provides a great focus for both indoor and outdoor gatherings.

The paella will be cooked fresh at your event. Sit and chat whilst I create the dish which forms the heart of Spanish culture before your eyes: perhaps pick up some tips along the way! It will then be served to you at your table. Alternatively allow your guests to mingle and help themselves. To compliment your paella we can serve fresh Spanish bread with a light green salad, or choose from our extensive Tapas selection to allow your guests to experience the ultimate Spanish meal.

History

Established in 2011.

TAPAS are an integral part of Spanish lifestyle. Originally a slice of Jamón Serrano (cured ham) was served on a glass of sherry to keep the flies out; the word Tapa literally means cover or lid.

Originally Tapas were simply a few olives or almonds, and perhaps a selection of cheeses, sausages, and jamón and possibly cubes of tortilla (potato omelette) served to accompany a glass of sherry. Over time the range of Tapas has extended to form what is widely available in Spanish bars today. Tapas have come to include more or less any hot or cold dish that can be served in small portions. They may be quite substantial, and the larger portions are commonly referred to as ‘raciónes’.

They are displayed along the length of the counter of a bar or café to be ordered in a group, or individually. Although quintessentially Spanish, Tapas are so well-​suited to today’s style of casual eating, that they have caught the popular imagination outside Spain.
