On a recent visit to Asda, I was pleasantly surprised to encounter such a natural and thoughtful staff. Nothing seemed to be too small to care about. For the first time, I noticed the Space Here service operated by one of the customer care staff. He holds a notice on a pole to indicate that there is a space at a particular check-out. This can be helpful when the store is crowded and there are so many check-outs in operation. The evening I visited, his notice was appropriately re-worded to fit in with the season of Haloween thus it said Sweep Here. Although the wording seemed somewhat strange, it was good to see creativity in a supermarket. Having read some of the history of Walmart, who operate Asda now, I am encouraged to see a similar philosphy of customer care coming through. Global Nomad

Very friendly staff. Always doing something or other for charity. Better laid out than Tescos.

Great store, and warmer than Tescos, I’m always cold in Tescos! The clothes are good and they sell a range of things for children. I have noticed that they don’t generally sell toys for under 3s. When it was first built, the petrol was much cheaper than anywhere else, it is still competitive, but I think people now go there out of habit rather than because it’s so much cheaper.

Cheap and cheerful as Asda is renowned; this branch is no exception. Some really good bargains here, on clothes and groceries. It’s open 24 hours now, which is handy, but hasn’t stopped the mad rush of a Friday afternoon. Can be biggish queues in December, which can extend shopping time even if you go before school pick up. We’ve been caught out a couple of times when we’ve nipped in for something enroute to an appointment. Petrol prices here are usually the same as Tesco and Morrison, although Asda always seems to be the first to put them down. Pay-at-pump options only at very quiet times such as Sunday afternoon. Cash machine outside and post box inside.

This store is great it contains everything you could possibly need from clothes to food. The store is every easy to navigate and a good size. The petrol station is great and usually the cheapest in the area. The store has been clean and well maintained on every visit. The checkouts move fast so you don’t end up waiting for ages to pay after doing your shopping. There are always plenty of trolley and a lot to choose from in Asda. I find the prices in Asda very competitive and i usually end up with loads of food for a very reasonable price. The pizzas that are made to order in the store offer fantastic value as do the Asda smart price items. The only negitive is the traffic lights on the entrance and exit are a complete pain!
