Macaris has always been around in Worthing, now in Chichester as well. Little known is their success at knocking up tasty Fish and Chips that are really good. Normally I only use a proper chipper as I don’t believe Pub/restaurants can do them right. Well, Macaris do a very good impression if this favourite dish. Nice one!!!

Macari’s isn’t anything flash at all but it does serve excellent food at really competitive prices. Its located right opposite Worthing Pier so an ideal place to head to after a long walk along the front. The staff are really friendly in here and always make you feel as welcome as possible. Last time I ate there I had the Homemade Chicken Milanese and it came with dauphinoise potatoes(my favourite) and was only around £8. Excellent value. The house white wine is really nice and crisp and again, pretty cheap in price. Great for a large group of friends here too as it has plenty of space for seating.

there is simply one thing you can not go without trying if you are visiting worthing, and that’s a Macaris ice cream! with a wide range of flavours admittedly they are not the cheapest around, but still it is SO worth every penny! «nuff said. — thumbs up for Macaris!

Macari’s is a famous must-stop in Worthing, and deservedly so on the basis of its ices alone.(Despite the fact that my niece and nephew turned their noses up at these delicacies last time we took them for a treat, demanding ‘proper’ ice-creams — i.e. multi-coloured abominations in junky wrapping from a stand). Kids! Who’d have ‘em. On my last trip I had a bacon sarnie too and I must say it was divine, along with the excellent frothy coffee. The environment is nice too, warm as toast on a cold winter day, clean, cosy and with friendly staff. Go on, you know you have to visit now — you can’t go to Worthing and admit you never popped in to Macari’s!

the best coke floats for miles around. no matter how much i try i cant replicate them at home a must for a hot summers day! they also do lovely cakes like lemon merangue, apple pie and mudd cake. all really nice and not as expensive as you would think for a place right in the middle of town!

Fantastic ice creams! We often walk along the promanade in summer and stop off for an ice cream — you can take away or eat in. They do food too from pie and chips to a breakfast. Friendly staff.

A bit of a tradition in Worthing! Where else can you get a Knickerbocker Glory a ChocNut Sundae or a Banana Split with a sea-view? We have been taking the kids for treats to Macaris for the last couple of years and the staff are always friendly and understanding when it comes to the noise and mess of 3 under 5’s! Ice cream is great!

This ice cream parlour is right on the sea front and does a wonderfull hot chocolate and fab ice cream too. They have a great choice of flavours and in the summer its always rammed full of people. In the winter i love to sit here and have a hot chocolate and pass the time, read the paper and just chill. You can get breakfast lunch and dinner here and i can recomend the salad… as they have many types and they are massive. One off and just what the seaside is made for.
