History

Established in 1931.

The business was first formed in 1931 and John Harrison became a partner in it in 1976. In 1989 he bought the Worksop office from his partners.

In its early days in the 1930s recession the business did mostly insolvency work and after the Second World War did audits, accounts and tax return preparation. In the 1970s when tax rates went as high as 98% tax planning was our most important service. In 1981 we started offering computerised services and now have turned our attention to buildling better businesses.

Qualified as a Chartered Accountant at the age of 21 and was admitted to partnership at the age of 25. Was instrumental in setting up Grant Maintained Schools and was invited to receptions at Buckingham Palace and 10 Downing Street in recognition of this pioneering work. Attended the Results Accountants Systems Bootcamp in Brighton in 1997 which revolutionised his approach to business and client service. Using the knowledge and tools gained by the experience now helps business owners transform their own businesses.
