This is the best restaurant in town yet seems to be little known to most — I’ve been there on a Friday night and it was half empty. I really cannot understand why as the food is excellent, the staff are friendly and welcoming and I really liked the fact that it has an open kitchen enabling you to watch the chef at work. It also does arguably the best Sunday lunch in town, too. I had roast sirloin of beef with ale gravy. The roast vegetables are delicious — a mix of potatoes, parsnips, onions and carrots. I’ll be going back again soon. Excellent.
