Best pub I have so encountered in Winchester. It’s old very old and quite small. The décor is totally authentic except for the flooring. It’s got a log burner. Full bar and four real ales not too bad a selection quite well kept. If you are American visit here it is authentic English pub apart from the Polish bar Man.

Well this was a real find. A proper old boozer, sat right next to the cathedral and with great seating outdoors to catch the days sun. Good beer, decent looking food(I didn’t have any) and a landlord with a good sense of humour. If you’re up for a few pints and who isn’t avoid the crap chains around the corner and give this place a try. Good value, good booze and good location. Spot on.

This is a real olde worlde pub just on the edge of the Winchester Catherdral grounds. It is very small inside, and is frequented by a regulars. The décor is very old, in keeping with Winchester history. It has a fairly large seating area outside which I prefer to inside, because it does feel a little cramped inside. They sell a good selectio of draught beers and lagers. I’d say this is a good place to come for a quick drink if visiting, because its never too busy, but it would not be somewhere where you’d want spend the entire evening.
