Chef and mother of 3, Yayu Slocock grew up in Blitar in East Java, Indonesia where she learnt the art of cooking from her mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
At the age of 17 she moved to Australia with her family and went on to study Biochemistry.
Upon her marriage in 1988, Yayu moved to Wimborne in Dorset where she has lived ever since.
In 2012 she started up her business A Taste of Rasa Sayang so that she could share her love of cooking with a wider audience.
