Coach & Four

I love Sunday roast. Love it with an all-​encompassing, almost forbidden quality. Which means that a pub which does Sunday roast every day of the week piques my interest somewhat. Of course, some could argue that this undermines the meaning of Sunday roast, and I’d agree were it not for the fact that this Sunday roast is awesome.
Also the pub is nice, with a beer garden and what-​have-​you. But, seriously, who cares? Sunday roast!

Just South of Wilmslow’s quaint town centre sits the Coach and Four, a warm, homely pub that also offers accommodation in its ‘lodge.’
The pub is cosy inside, a gentle maze of nooks and crannies that can provide the perfect setting for a friendly evening spent drinking or eating dinner with friends and family. There’s a great selection of beers and ciders at the bar, including a nice range of Hydes cask ales.
The pub offers food all days and nights of the week. Amazingly, they have a roast carvery not just on a Sunday, but every weekday lunch as well. You’d be hard pushed to find another pub that does this and the Coach and Four has a loyal following because of services like this that it provides.
There’s a lovely little beer garden at the side of the pub where you can watch the world go by and have a smoke if that’s your thing, though watch out for the wasps in the summer — there are a few of them about.
The Coach and Four is connected to Wilmslow Lodge, where you can get a room for around £50, and two consecutive nights for £70 between Monday and Thursday. I’ve not stayed in a room as my girlfriend has relatives in Wilmslow, but they are reasonable prices for a decent hotel right in the middle of the town.

Right in the heart of Wilsmlow next to Sainsburys, this pub is definitely worth a visit. They do a fantastic Sunday carvery with a choice of 3 meats. You get lots of veg and potatoes and is well worth the price. The menu in the week is also good too. They also have various themed eveings.
