dont know what every one is going on about this shop for i ve had alot better from most shops in widnes gave it a try after reading reviews never again

Maria s chippy god there must be terrible chip shops around the area if this is the best food well below good chips shop standard as for dave cigs think he must be smoking some else to think this is best in world

Marie’s chippy is as close as one can get to culinary perfection, in the world of Fish and Chips. The menu is indeed wide, and vast, and encompasses every single facet of the ideal meal. Their selections of condiments are superb, and their gravy is the ultimate liquid one wants to see poured over my meal.
The service is punctual and polite, and always with a smile, and the internal aromas are mouth wateringly delicious.
If one is a vegetarian, you can feel safe with the multitude of meat free dishes available.
One small flaw is the pool of grease at the bottom of the container of chips, but this is easily overlooked.

This is not only my all-​time favourite eatery in Widnes but also in the whole world. From the first perfect golden brown chip to the last dollop of that unique curry sauce, a ‘large (insist on a large) mixture and curry’ is a thing of wonderment and beauty to behold.
As magical as the first glimpse of the Anunnaki in ancient Sumer, as satisfying as an all-​night nudey-​romp (avec love toys) with the Pussycat Dolls and as tasty as​.weller​.as tasty as a ‘large (insist on a large) mixture and curry’ from Marie Barrows, this place is the tops, trust me. Nowt can beat it!
I could go on all night about how much joy this wonderful establishment has brought into my otherwise squalid and vacuous existence but I haven’t got the time as I have to get over to Kurt Sorenson’s house pronto. He’s just called me up and told me he’s got me and him a ‘large (insist on a large) mixture and curry’ each, and he wants me to pick some Fanta up on the way. Ah, Marie’s chippy — a hidden gem. It’s pretty hard to find, and even then it’s pretty hard to find it open. It’s what I call a «proper» fish ‘n’ chips shop, i.e. it only does fish ‘n’ chips, pies, fishcakes and that’s about it.
You can tell somewhere’s quality when it has a queue out the door and down the street, even in the rain. That’s what Marie’s is like. It even has it’s own facebook network with 150 members (
). Pretty impressive.
Lacey St. chippy was better, but sadly it’s now defunkt. Marie’s it is then (or the one by the park).
