Been once, and once is enough. The local thugs and chavs seemed to frequent here, and the atmosphere was not pleasant, and in the short time we were there a fight broke out (this was a lunchtime). Food was mediocre

A rather big basement pub with quite a large space to sit outside (there they also do barbeques in the summer). It’s directly on the Esplanade opposite Tourist Information.
Inside it’s OK without any atmosphere worth mentioning. Anyway, you can sit there quite comfortably.
They do food and also have a restaurant.
(Once they were known to have watered down the cider.)
Sometimes they give you plastic glasses — which I hate.
