Hectors is by far the best sandwich takeaway shop in West Kirby, it’s always mega busy and the food is always nice and freshly prepared on a daily basis.
Don’t go around the lunchtime of the local grammar school and girls school unless you are prepared to queue for a long while as the shop gets mad busy around these times!
The staff are very personable and friendly and seem to know all the locals really well, which makes you feel at ease and comfortable that there food is locally cherished!
I agree with John T’s comments about the ‘bin lids’, they are huge and could easily do two meals! Last time I went I had a classic BLT and it was great!
There are a few other café’s and sandwich shops based along Banks Road that you can sit inside for tour lunch, but as far as takeaways go, this stands out from the crowd!
