Sandwell Academy

Sandwell Academy opened in 2006 and is home 1200 students. The Academy’s specialist subjects are Sport, Business and ICT.
And interestingly the Academy is sponsored by Tarmac, the Mercers Company, Thomas Telford School, HSBC Education Trust and West Bromwich Albion Football Club. Students have state of the art facilities and having seen the facilities myself, they are pretty impressive.
Sandwell Academy also has a Sixth Form and the aim of the Academy is to maximise student performance in all its forms. A lot of emphasis is placed on Sport, Business and ICT however the Academy do offer a broad curriculum.
I wish I had state of the art facilities when I was at Sixth Form and High School. From top to bottom I am impressed with the Academy. I did have friends who went to the Academy and they themselves were full of praise for Sandwell Academy.
