Specialties
Situated in the heart of ‘Little India’, the bustling Ealing Road, Sakonis is a casual, family restaurant specialising in tasty vegetarian dishes from across india. At Sakonis, you can treat yourself to a wide range of snacks including classic Indian street food specialities such as Bhel and Pau Bhaji, south indian pancakes such as Masala Dosa and wholesome Indian inspired sandwiches and wraps! Sakonis was one of the first restaurants to pioneer one of the most famous vegetarian Indo-Chinese dishes of all time — Paneer Chili (deep fried chunks of paneer sautéed in a tangy chinese sauce.) Our perfected recipe is so beloved that we have often been told we serve the best Paneer Chilli in town.
One can also indulge in the all you can eat lunch & dinner buffet at Sakonis (breakfast on weekends too) which includes popular savoury snacks but also has tasty curries, rice dishes and sweets. This is perfect for large groups who want a little bit of everything!
Sakonis is heaven for all vegetarian food lovers and has something for everyone!
You can also visit Sakonis Juice Bar for a range of fresh juices — we have also jumped on the bandwagon with our very own version of Green Juice and Red Juice and added a range of smoothies and milkshakes to the menu. Another one of our top sellers is the Sakonis Faluda; the perfect indian milkshake. This is a perfect sweet cooler after a spicy indian meal or can also be enjoyed as a treat on a hot summers day.
History
Established in 1984.
Situated in the heart of ‘Little India’; the bustling Ealing Road full of shops selling all sorts from your household necessities to the latest fashion saris and the most exotic fresh fruit and vegetables. The Sakonis brand started off as one of the first fruit & vegetable market stalls and slowly grew to a worldwide known brand representing homemade, fresh tasty vegetarian snacks. This family owned and run business was driven by quality vegetarian food, fresh ingredients, tested recipes and a friendly face to greet the customers. In it’s early days, the Sakonis restaurant brand was truly one of a kind offering the perfect balance of specialities from all across India along with a slight influence of East-African delights including such as mogo (cassava). The restaurant grew from a snack bar to serving a full — fledged a la carte menu, an extensive lunch & dinner buffet, grab & go snack bar and a savoury snack (farsan) shop.
