Recently revamped and revived this pub is back opposite the football ground and looking much better than the previous reviews advise. leather sofas, draught and bottled beers and a nice friendly atmosphere. Cheers!

Allegedly Watford FC have bought the lease on this place with the intention of turning into a club shop and offices. Unfortunately its been closed for years and so has the club shop in the ground and the town centre. Come on Watford at least open it as a pub again until you can get your arses in gear.

Alas no more. Used to be nice 4 a pre match pint

Opposite the watford football ground. It is for season ticket holders only on match days to stop the rows. Used to be reallyt rough but is alot better now. It os an average pub, interesting bar staff and the beer seems to be ok. Not sure I would want to spend the whole evening in there but are many regulars that do.

A pretty basic pub The Red Lion is noted only because of it’s proximity to Watford Football Club. The pub on match days is for home fans only and then only those that can show their Season Ticket as proof of being a local.
Inside the décor is old and pretty basic. The beer garden lies to the side and runs parallel to the pavement — again nothing special.
Watford FC have actually bought the leasehold and have plans to upgrade the pub into something more deserving for the home fans. Time will tell.
