Coming to Warrington… you are limited when it comes to restaurants. my colleague from this neck of the woods recommended that we came here… Luckily us four had booked a table for 7pm on Saturday, because stepping in it was rammed! The décor screams oriental and the waiters were very slick and efficient zipping in and out of tables. Now when it comes to all you can eat buffets I am quite sceptical. After a launch countdown I dived into the starter section. here I discovered various soups, usual prawn crackers, toasts, spring rolls, chicken wings, spicy squid, duck pancakes, crispy seaweed, ribs, mussels, sushi and dim sum. these all looked fresh and tasted really nice for a buffet… Wolfing these down I checked out the mains. there was a random Indian curry surrounded by various noodles, Thai curries, and other Chinese classics. once again all tasted fresh and not like they had been stewing all day over a hot plate. Dessert time .wow.every place is a winner if they have their own ice cream machine. there were various cakes and crumbles too with jelly. my only gripe was the other flavoured ice creams, because these were not pleasant. The green mint tasted like Colgate, the strawberry like laces and blue bubble gum dyed everyone’s mouth bright blue… which was quite funny. Overall, a great place to come with a group if you do find yourself in the area. quality was really good for a buffet and had ba good variety. again in Warrington you only really have this place to eat or a Indian down the road.

This is one of the best all you can eats in Warrington. The only negitive is probably the cost being a little pricey but food is always lovely with a great range. Always warm and tasty.

I have to agree with the positive comments on this site about East Orient. it is certainly probably the best Chinese Buffet I have ever visited — and I have visited many around the UK. The choice is excellent, the food is top quality, the variety is amazing. Not only Chinese food but also a good selection of other Asian food from Japanese to Indian. I would also compliment the salad bar which always has a good range of fresh salad items. The desserts are also fresh and well presented. I had to laugh over Christmas as they even had traditional Christmas pudding with brandy sauce on offer :) … the only other thing I can say about the East Orient is that the staff are extremely helpful and courteous — and with a price to suit even the most price conscious diner I can honestly say I have no complaints at all about the place. I am sure I will be back many times.

Don’t Go There, Food far too greasy, not hot enough, spicy chicken wings were anorexic packed in like sardines. Very overpriced. Compared to buffet restaurants in Liverpool, this one leaves a lot to be desired, It also leaves a bad aftertaste as well as heartburn with all the grease. Not a good experience.

Cheap, yes — food seems OK — until you get home and tummy starts to rumble. Toilets were shocking! Won’t be going again. Sorry.

One of the best«All-You-Can-Eat» chinese’s ive been. There are 2 menus — afternoon & evening. Ive only tasted the delights of the afternoon which doesn’t feature the likes of Crispy Duck. But the afternoon one certainly has enough choice. Prices are good & drinks as reasonably priced as you would find in any restaurant. The Décor is very updated but still has the chinese tradition. The staff also don’t seem to hassle you as soon as your plate is clean and will wait a min or so just to make sure.

Good food and a much wider choice than the rip off skanky chinese buffets in St Helens with stale food. Spotlessly clean for a buffet restaurant and the staff are attentive and clear your table if you decide to go for seconds(only after asking you). The buffet is kept well topped up with fresh food, the egg foo yung is excellent and they also have a choice of chicken nuggets or sausages with chips for kids.

This does what it sets out to do. It is a fast, cheap Fill the family up restaurant. We visited late on a Saturday afternoon and Wigan were playing Warrington that evening(within sight of the East Orient). Consequently, we had to wait a little while for enough seats. Once we were seated, when choosing food, however, I really enjoyed the place. The food wasn’t particularly inspiring, but all appeared to be well-cooked and presented. One of our lot asked what he would have done if he didn’t like chicken! Excellent desserts, but rather limited ice-cream machine as already mentioned by many and banana fritters that turned out to be pineapple chunks in batter! Daytime prices are excellent five adults with ample drinks cost us around £45. Additional comment; For me, they get bonus points for the recent spate of predictable comments(Facebook and similar) about them being closed down after finding dog’s bodies in the freezer. The East Orient kept completely out of this and left it to the Warrington Food Hygiene Team to discredit the stories. It turned out that the staff had asked a group of pupils from a north end of town school to leave as they were annoying the other customers with their poor behaviour; this was their retaliation. Additional, May 2012. I notice that there have been a lot more adverse comments on this place. I have to wonder when the vast majority of them are anonymous in that they have no identity picture and they are single reviews by that person. Is this becoming an orchestrated campaign? I on;y ask because a significant number of us have been quite happy with the food and the service and, havng worked in the trade, I am not easily satisfied.

I have eaten at a few ‘all you can eat’ buffet restaurants and this one is ok. I used to think it was really amazing until i tried the ‘Cosmo’ chain further down South but its not bad compared to some others.. if you have never eaten at an ‘all you can eat’ place before you will probably love it here. The food is nice enough though I have to say. Better of a night time than lunch time(the price reflects this). think it was just under £12 on a saturday night. Just under £10 on a weekday nights. The dessert choices are pretty lame except the ice cream machine which I adore. I’d return just for that ;-) The food is 7⁄10 for me.. same old same old sauces though unfortunately. Prawn dishes are a bit crap. more would be good. Where’s the squid and better choices of soups and what not East Orient!?! ?? ;-) Good for those in big parties that want to eat a lot and not really that fussed about eating genuine good Chinese food. Still a great little place for a Chinese fill now and again. Staff are like magnets to your table the second your plate is anywhere near empty. it is a bit annoying at some points, feels like you are being rushed. It is good to have your plate taken though when you are in between visiting the buffet. I found the bowls and spoons always have water in them from the dish washer. spoons often dirty too. NOT good! Other than that. worth visiting to at least try it once. Kids will love it Chips and sausages etc available in the starter section too if they don’t like Chinese foods. :-) The loo isnt great. Could be great but is badly lit, broken locks, paper on floors. wet floors. Some one PLEASE clean and check the loos during service times! even though a few issues here I still gave this restaurant 4 stars**** as the kids love it, the food selection is big enough for everyone and the Mr Whippy Icecream machine of course machine of course ;-) UPDATE march 2012 — east orient seems to have listened to the customers ‘complaints’ and have upped their game a little. Food area has been moved around, and a bigger salad area set out. more prawn dishes, ‘live’ station for food made of an evening to order. I haven’t sampled that yet as i have only been of an afternoon. and the toilets seems bit better too. Shame the duck isn’t served of a day time, just the evening times. I am always pleasant and say thank you each time staff take my plate or bring drinks. Most don’t acknowledge this and the gentleman that is at the til taking your money must have paralysis of the facial muscles I’ve yet to see him smile. Life’s to short to be miserable mate. cheer up!

i dont think you can leave 1 star if its not your preffered type of restaurant, as the review is based on the restaurant and food and not your preffered eating places. as like most reviews it has a friendly atmosphere and very clean, the food is extremeley nice and caters for children ;)

i took my son for his 21st birthday for a meal with the family, the food was really nice and for 5 of us including 2 drinks each before 6pm on a sunday was just under £55 the only thing was you had to pay for filtered tap water at 70p a go which i think is wrong, bottled yes but not tap, the variety you get is amazing on starters, mains and puddings so much to choose from, the stay on a sunday was only 1 and a half hours which isnt long, its about half an hour for each sitting which is a little annoying, its well worth the money in my opinion and the service is very good,

Recently opened in what used to be Edison’s Pub. This is an all you can eat buffet style restaurant. Not my prefered type of establishment but it does seem to be very popular.
