Butchers Arms

I forgot to put this review on here from my most recent visit in August 2013. This place has really gone down in standards of the building, service, food and drink.
I just popped in for a drink and was asked for ID, I explained as I’m 30 I don’t bother. The bar maid then got someone else to look at me who said «you could be any age» and «you have a baby face».
I had visited several times before with family for meals and never been questioned. When I went to my local they all laughed at this stupidity.
I know they need to check age and I except that I do look younger than my 30 years but no way do I look under 18, so some common sense should have come in. In fact I should have questioned the age of the second person.
I don’t drive so there’s no way I’m going to take my passport out, therefore I won’t bother visiting this pub again and neither will my family. This seems to be a very good choice as since my last visit the pub is receiving terrible reviews on other websites.

Awful service. Food was cold and the staff unhelpful. I would not visit this place again
