Showcase Cinema

Went on Sunday 20.07.14 to watch The new Planet of the Apes film in 3D XLR.
There is plenty of free parking. There is a ramp for the disabled and abled access. There is seating and arcade games while you wait for your film. The refreshments is in the centre of the foyer serving hot and cold drinks with some alcohol. There are 12 screens in total.
I tried the XLR seats and was very impressed. Leather high reclining seats with plenty of legroom. Which I loved being as I’m 6′ 7

This cinema is A-​OK. It doesn’t have some of the extra facilities like some other cinemas may have, but never the less it does the job and is not too shabby.
All screens are based on one floor, with the foyer area having two ticket desks at either end and a food and drinks island in the middle. There is an array of sofas, tables and chairs.
Once you have had your ticket checked, there is a sweets counter and smaller food and drinks counters in the corridors although I have never seen these open.
There is ample free car parking on site with a casino a stones throw away if you fancy a flutter and a branch of Chiquitos if you fancy a bite to eat.
The staff here are friendly, and I have found the cinema quiet during the week in the late afternoon.

Cinema is located off junction 10 of the M6.

I found the food to very expensive the cinema itself is cold I had to put my jacket on in the movie. And the floor is always filthy your feet stick to the floor.

I think over the years this cinema has gone downhill, they seem to put prices up but never refurb or make it better in any way.
Its easy to locate being just of the M6 and the films are always good

greta cinema, regular screenings, good choice of snacks, clean and nice smelling. thumbs up to this palce and espacially as they involve themselkves in 2 for 1 on orange wednesdays. only crtiticism is gift voucher policy on new films, they should be treated and values as much or if not more than money purchases.

The Showcase is pretty average and the food, although there’s a good range, is overpriced as you’d expect from any cinema as this is where they make their money.
The huge foyer lacks any atmosphere and can get pretty busy especially at weekends, but you’ll be hard pushed to find any seating while you wait! However they have decent screens, good sound, the latest releases and good parking. They also take part in Orange’s 2-​or-​1 Wednesdays.

We went to see a film and enjoyed the film. However, the prices displayed were misleading as they changed on Fridays. The seats were very wobbly and the carpet was dticky underfoot. The food is overpriced as you expect at any cinema, however, if you go to watch a film, the screens are big and the sound good.

If you want a reasonably priced, no frills, cinema experience, then Showcase is definately the place to go!
Some of the chairs are wobbly, and there are no drinks holders on them — but if you want that, you need to pay a lot more for your tickets!
I go to a cinema to watch a film — which Showcase is perfect for. However, if you want an amazing nite, go somewhere else! (more costly!)
