Vince Hillis, the founder of Hillis Security Systems Ltd (1996), has over 30 years experience in the security systems industry with a background of working for national companies. He and his team have invaluable experience of designing and providing security systems for a complete range of properties: from high risk installations such as diamond and gold merchants, bonded warehouses, antique shipping warehouses, shopping centres and private houses.

History

Established in 1996.

The company identified a requirement in the construction industry for a reliable firm to design, install & maintain intruder alarms in the houses that were being built in the 90’s. It took the work away from unregulated, inexperienced electrical contractors that did not support the systems once they were installed and provided a professional service to the construction company and the purchaser.

Commercial and retail customers were recommending the company which lead to an increase in staff and larger premises. News of the company’s approach to its customers was travelling a great speed producing an increasing number of residential customers, something that has continued to grow due to the companies policy of careful selection of staff.

My name is Vince Hillis, I trained on Modern Alarms in the early 80’s installing security systems in Hatton Gardens gold and diamond merchants premises. I found dealing with customers and designing the systems a natural progression and something I enjoy to this day. I moved to Ambassador Security PLC, which was a very nice company to work for, It treated customers with respect. The company was sold, it was the time for me to start a business with the same focus of customer care that Ambassador had.

I started trading in 1996 and have developed a company that I am proud of. The most important part of the company are the people that work within it and I have the finest team of staff that an owner of a company could wish for, everyone is totally professional and focused on providing the best service possible.
