You really should try the Sunday lunch here. Its pretty un-beatable and you can tell there’s so much attention gone into the whole thing. The roast beef is my favourite, just nice and pink and full of flavour. The trimmings are all brilliantly cooked as well, light fluffy spuds and the gravy is proper home-made from stock and not from Bisto granules. The staff here are great, really down to earth and whether your a local or just popped in after a long walk, they treat everyone with the same warmth. They do serve some nice fish such as Mahi-Mahi throughout the week and of course sell the classic cod and chips. Great country pub.
