Nice pub, but never has any staff on who ever seem to want to be there. A smile goes a long way…

Popped in for a oub lunch with colleagues. Looked a rather drab pub. Wrong. Food was amazing. Try the mushrooms on toast with deep fried poached egg. Amazing. Baguettes home made. Sliced beef perfect and hand cut potato wedges to due for. And less expensive than going to burger king. Please try this place, they deserve support.

Decent ale pub just away from Truro city centre. Enjoyed a good pint of HSD here. This pub is somewhere between a modern pub and an old mans pub, which means it should be fine for anyone. I guess the name has legal origins.

The Wig and Pen is a great place for people watching, the outside tables and chairs are right next to the main street giving you a good view of everything going on, or if you prefer, they offer complementary newspapers to kick back and have a read. Inside the décor is hard to describe, to me it’s almost like an old gentlemans club with leather chairs and shelves full of old books, before the smoking ban the place used to be full of cigar smoke. They serve good real ales and lagers and do some really nice pies and liver etc, check out for any lunchtime offers as well, last time we managed to get some really good value lunches that tasted great.
