All of our 12 stylishly decorated rooms have en-​suite shower/​bathrooms, colour TVs, hospitality trays, complimentary toiletries and fresh white bedlinen and towels. There are two balcony rooms with partial sea views.

Our Bay Breakfast will set you up for the day: free-​range eggs cooked to your choice, succulent bacon, grilled sausage, hash brown, sauteed mushrooms and vine tomatoes. For a lighter option there is smoked salmon and scrambled egg with an English muffin, freshly prepared seasonal fruit and a variety of yoghurts. Vegetarian and other diets can be catered for (please advise for gluten free and dairy free on booking).

History

Established in 2009.

The Torcroft Hotel was built in the late 1850s as a wealthy gentleman’s holiday residence in the up-​and-​coming seaside town of Torquay in the county of Devon in England. Over the years it has had various names and characters.

It is now run as a high quality Bed and Breakfast Hotel by Neil and Sally Taylor.

The Torcroft offers personal attention and a relaxed friendly atmosphere and makes an excellent base for a holiday on the English Riviera.

Neil’s background was a career as a design engineer in London and San Francisco. Sally trained as a fashion designer, then worked in publishing and the charity and public sector before coming down to Devon
