Great fish and chips, as well as a fantastic Chinese takeaway.

Half a Fish ‘n’ Chip shop/​half a Chinese Takeaway — this conveniently located fast food outlet is centrally located in the heart of East Peckham village. With parking spaces directly outside and a cheerful greeting inside a quick lunchtime stop here is a pleasant experience, and a life-​saving suggestion when you’re busy moving house, like I did recently.
Chips are plumb, hot and crisp and the selection of fish, and alternatives, is decent. There are also children-​sized portions on offer, as well as a well-​stocked chiller of soft drinks. I’ve yet to sample the oriental flavours, dished up through the connecting doorway, but with little else available in this tiny village I’m sure it won’t be too long before I do.
