The Lensbury is a 4 star hotel and conference centre located in 25 acres of grounds on the banks of the River Thames at Teddington in South West London. As well as the hotel which boasts 171 bedrooms and the purpose-built conference centre with 30 meeting rooms, the Lensbury also features extensive leisure facilities. There is a 25 metre indoor swimming pool, large fully-equipped gym, 19 tennis courts and a water sports centre. In the riverside grounds there is a large purpose-built marquee which can be used for weddings, private dinners and parties for up to 250 people. The Lensbury is conveniently located just 25 minutes by car from London Heathrow Airport and 20 minutes by train from London Waterloo with a direct service into Teddington Station. Located near to the main motorway connections for the M3, M25 and M4 the Lensbury is also close to the attractions of Hampton Court Palace, Kew Gardens, Twickenham Stadium and Kingston shopping centre.
History
Established in 1999.
The Lensbury was originally built as the sports and social club for Shell and was only open to Shell employees. In 1999 The Lensbury became an indendent business open to all, although is still owned by Shell.

Maugie Lyons joined the Lensbury in October 2011 as the Director of Markeitng and Sales. Having previously worked at the Royal Horitcultural Halls in Central London, Maugie brings a wealth of sales and marketing experience.
