Oooh, yum. It’s not the perfect old fashioned bakery but it’s lovely when you’re starving and lacking in funds! All the food is fairly priced and very tasty too, my fave being the bacon savory and maybe a begian bun I’ve always found the staff friendly and happy to help even for the smallest order. The two stores in Taunton are easy to access and always very clean and tidy.

Quick, cheap and same quality from store to store. The steak & chicken/mushroom pies are tasty and can’t be beat for under a £1. Good for an on the go snack or for feeding several hungry tots cheaply!

Not exactly an authentic bakery but as you would expect with any chain — okish. Good to grab a bite on the go but the lunchtime queues on a Saturday can make even that pointless.

I usually shy away from ready made sandwiches of any kind tending to go where you can see them made up on demand. However Greggs sandwiches are delicious, you can either buy ready wrapped from the chiller cabinet as you enter or have one of the delicious prepared rolls or pies or pasties in the cabinets at the front of the shop. They are very friendly staff and helpful and cheerful. They serve their customers quickly so dont ever be put off at lunchtime at the line of people waiting outside which invariably snakes down the road. The best thing is the price for a mexican chicken seeded bun with salad and mayo its only 1.85 a real bargain and delicious too!

Frindly and helpful staff and fresh baked bread/pastries. What more could you want. I have never bought anything bad from here and I love their sausage rolls! Get there earlyish to get the best stuff as by late afternoon, much of the stuff has gone and you are left with a small selection.

There are two Gregs in Taunton town centre, where they are relatively cheap, and normally have good deals on their Sausage Rolls, pasties and bakes. I often go their for cheap, tasty food and you get what you pay for. I would recommend it if you don’t mind eating it outside as you cannot eat in.

The food from Greggs tastes good. The main stuff they’re famous for are sausage rolls, ham pasties, and their absolutely gorgeous Steak Bake. Prices are very reasonable(you can get sandwiches for 99p!). Queues are very long at peak times — between 12pm and 3pm especially! Often, older stock goes cold and you’ll end up with a rock hard pastry.
