I used to work for Clinton Cards for many years as a manager and as a trainer so I am trying hard to ensure I am impartial. I also no the manager of this branch personally.
What Clinton’s do well is the luxury/​specialist end of the market. Yes you can cards (and gifts) cheaper elsewhere but they will not be the same quality. Despite my history with the company I would not buy cards from here for my childrens school friends. Howevver for my mum and dads wedding anniversary I would — I don’t begrudge paying £5 for that!
Also what they are great for are those unusual or special ‘captions’ that you would not find in their cheaper competitor stores. For example ‘like a dad’ and ‘congratulations on your divorce’ (yes they really did used to stock this title — not sure if they still do!!).
Clintons also sell fab giftwrap and really lovely gifts for all occasions.
This particular branch is one of the larger ones and has a very wide range, its also very well presented.
