Rowberry’s

Having a blessing in December and wanted something special not too bridie. The welcome I had was great, and the service fantastic. After weeks of searching Rowberrys came up with a suggestion that was right for me. Cant believe the negative reviews on here, as I experienced total opposite. A visit to the Oxford Street Rowberry’s wedding shop proved a costly and regrettable experience! I was served by an extremely ‘pushy’ and rather unpleasant individual who proceeded to show me outfits which were nothing like my brief. Although I changed my mind at the last moment, I ended up buying an outfit which was too big and unsuitable, having been told sharply that I would lose it if I delayed and it was ‘unique’. This incidentally was not true as I later found the same outfit in all sizes online and at a much cheaper price!
I returned to the shop a few days later and asked to return the item for a refund or credit note. I was told by the sympathetic but powerless manageress that the owner would ring me, but heard nothing. I contacted the shop again only to be told nothing could be done, so I have been forced to buy another outfit elsewhere. I have written a letter to the owner but have had no reply. Having had experience of shopping in other stores of similar or, dare I say it, superior standard, I would never recommend this over priced and intimidating shop!

Went to Rowberry’s in Port Tennant for my first attempt at buying a wedding dress and it nearly put me off buying one at all!
I don’t want a strapless dress and managed to find about two that were in this category, tried them on but decided they weren’t for me. While my mother and I then tried to leave the sales lady got quite stroppy and told me I needed to change my ideas or that I would have to sew a jacket onto a dress because nowhere would have what I wanted.
Needless to say this is not the case. Also while we were standing there being castigated, the ceiling started dripping on us!
