This is a pretty standard seaside hotel. The location is very good, on the waterfront street. Daytime parking is plentiful but metered. Night parking is free. The hotel is clean and fairly old, with narrow staircases and standard compact rooms. We paid £80 for the night in 4⁄14. Our room was on the street side with a good view of the waterfront and ocean. The staff was very friendly, and the included breakfast hearty and tasty. The downstairs bar seemed to be a popular evening place, but noise in the room was no problem. There’s a lot of daytime action along the water, even in April. There are several restaurants within steps of the door, including the hotel’s own, which was closed the evening we were there. In the immediate area are a couple of sites frequented by poet Dylan Thomas.
