A typical friendly local post office/​general store.
This is family run — they live in the cottage behind the shop. The Post Office is small but does all the basics and the shop is open for longer hours than the Post Office and also sells alcohol/​cigarettes and basic groceries.
I used to do a paper round for them at £1 a round. I wonder what they pay now, because £1 doesn’t even get you a decent bag of sweets these days.
